A few words to the community

Hello you all,

As we are now a fast growing community with more and more people joining in it’s inevitable that we will end up sharing a large amount of information and get to know what’s going on in the bike world will almost up-to-date. Facts like this and Ali’s will be announced more frequentelly. Please don’t let it put you off your bike and scare you off. Now is the moment to realise how vulnerable we are and it does happen!

Let’s get more informed, trained and prepared together! Let’s grieve for our lost ones together! That’s what a community is about, not only the nice photos, the jokes and good moments. I believe we all can become a better rider by undestanding our machines better, geting professional training help and getting out there and practising it.

Let’s share information, experiences and knowledge. I’ve ridden bikes for over 23 years now and still learning so much every day. I have learnt a lot of you guys and have discovered things from the biking world that wouldn’t be possible without the formation of a community.

For those that have met me in person, you most have noticed by my ‘posh’ accent that I’m not a native from this island and nor from the near continet so, I would like to thank you all for accept me here without a blink. Also I’d like to say sorry for the last world cup and in advance for the next one as Brazil will have it again, for sure.

Jokes aside, I would like to finalize this, asking you all for your help on building up this great biking community. Your inputs are most welcome, please do so!

Yours

Cezar

Wise words.

To go someway towards that i can comfirm that on June 3rd at George Whites in Slough they are having a ‘SaferBiker’ day…

basically , you turn up and can get your ride assessed by Police riders…it’s free and it’s imformative…it’s part of an initiative by Thames Valley Police to keep us safer on the roads.

There will also be observers from the IAM also there…it’s a good shop, coffee and tea and plenty of bikes to look at…

Good post m8.

I have in my 18 yrs of biking so far have had 2 crashes, both not my fault and the last a hit and run where the missus was on pillion and came off a lot worse than me, i get a scratched arm and she got broken leg fooked knuckle (of which she has not got any more, had to take em out), broken toes and after that was in high dependancy for fooked lungs. it makes ya think is it worth it? it is cos they was not my fault. If it was my fault i may feel different

I have not took the missus on the back of the bike since, just always in my head i dont want that too happen to her again.

I love motorbikes and the lifestyle and has been a big part of my life for many yrs now and have many good m8s and still making more.

Always ride like every car driver may pull out on ya.

Cheers Ceaser,

what you have done with LB is amazing, you have changed my outlook on biking completely given me something to do of an evening

I moved down to London last year, leaving all my mates of 28 years in Birmingham.

It has been a struggle trying to fit in down here but LB has given me that network of fellow bikers I left behind.

Attending yesterday with Ali’s family proved also to me that we can all get on, it was a proud day

hi b2t…no probs mate …bikers accept everyone. as we are already the lowest of the low…(apart from thieving scum who nick bikes…)have met a lot of you from the site and lots i knew before and it is a pleasure to meet and know you all… apollogy for the world cup is accepted…you only have it on loan till it comes back to the green and pastured land that we call ENGLAND…COME ON BOYS…

To right Cezar -

Porkscratchin - is there any link / info for this. I’d well be up for it, having done the Bikesafe at the Warren a while back - would the usual approach apply re. small plates / zorsts - ie " what small plate / zorst "?

Speech!

Roll on wednesday,

It was nice to meet you & the gang last night. it was a really good night BRAVO!

J-Man…

http://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/roads/safer-rider/index.htm

as for exhausts/plates etc…don’t worry.

that’s not what it is about…it’s about making you safer on the road…

Cezar, you certainly put together some beautiful words!

Can’t really add anything to what you have said … I agree totally!

Cezar…accepting someone of your nature and openess is a pleasure mate…

Brazilians have that way about them, friendly, happy and true friends…

UNLESS !!

There are 11 of the "£$^^&*%£$^&

And a Football involved

There theres a problem !!!…Grrrrrrrrrrr !!!

Wise words Cezar, and a view that I too share. I don’t want people to start thinking “oh god, there seems to be so much bad about biking being talked about”, because it’s always been there, we just haven’t had our ears open to it, but now we have, and we have the environment which allows us to become informed and better our decisions when out and about on our bikes. Whilst it’s all fun, and we all take the piss to a degree, there’s ways to limit the risks we put ourselves in.

Biking is a lifestyle for me, without bikes, I cannot imagine how I would live! It’s my love, my passion and my obsession (just don’t tell Foxy). I said it yesterday, it brought a tear to my eye when I read about everyone turning up for the Funeral and Waterloo meet, and at the funeral I shed some more tears. I love what LB is developing into. I think we have a great opportunity to make life better for us all.

As for the football, bleh, whatever

As we got on our bikes yesterday ready to move off to follow ali,i looked around for a minuite not quite taking in what was around me…

threw my helmet i could hear ppl starting up there bikes and seeing ppl getting ready for the precesion…i clicked my bike into first gear and followed the biker infront of me onto the open road.

when we got around the first corner,my emotions let go,and behind my dark visor was soaked eyes , i felt a proudness i have not felt in a long time from the powerfull image infront of me…

thankyou for letting me be a part of it.

i too have found it a struggle to make freinds in the 2yrs i have been up here, london can be such a lonley place, but since stumbling over this website i have found that this empty hole inside me is slowly going away…it is somthing i am very gratefull for…

im not the type of guy who uselly talks about this sort of thing in the open,so just these few lines will do for now…

so ide just like to end by saying that these meets we do around london really do mean alot to me,this community is feeling like a real extended familly…and one i am very proud to be with…

take care out there guys…your one in a million…all of you…and you cant be replaced…

smiled.

Wow! Guys you took my breath away now. Thank you for all those kind words… Remember this is US ! Not an individual or a place. We are the ones making it happen, let’s keep the ball rolling

I think all this puts you up to " Diamond Geezer Status"

Hey smiled…its all good stuff mate…next time we,ll have to get the “Flatout Phenomena” with us…Now theres an experience !!!

Well put Cezar! Top man.
