My short experience from owning a hound is that dogs don’tneed owners to encourage them to do strange things.
Someone recently bought a puppy on my dog walk route andthey let it sometimes play in the front garden. There are other dogs living onmy dog walk route, but as of now I can’t walk by this garden because my dogwants to stop and wait to see if the puppy wants to say hello or not. My dogloves his run in the field just after this house, but the puppy hello must comefirst, and I never encouraged him to stop and wait.
