To add to the epidemic of bikes that are being nicked I thought I should let you know there is a white transit van with 4 w***ers in it doing the rounds of North Surrey and North Kent looking for anything to nick.
They do the ‘standard’ trick of going in broad daylight and ringing your front door bell. If you answer they will offer to cut back your trees or tarmac your drive, if you don’t they’ll try and break in.
Happened to a mate this morning. He didn’t answer the door immediately, when he got downstairs they had already broken into the garage and were starting to remove stuff to get to the bikes. As soon as they saw him they ran off. He didn’t get the van’s number (not that it would have been legitimate).

Beware people, the thieving scum are out there. :angry:

This particular incident was in Westerham . . . the same friend moved last year as they had his landrover away but is still within the apparent Gypsy Camp Triangle (I think that is Swanley, Edenbridge & Merstham). The SP from the boys in blue was that there have been a glut of incidents all seemingly involving the same 4 lads and a van.
