This is a five-day ride during September around the UK and Ireland, covering 1000 miles through England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Wales.
The event is being led by the NCCA UK (Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Alliance UK) to raise awareness of childhood cancer during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The ride, which will take the convoy through major towns and cities, will feature the charities elephant mascot to draw attention. ‘Elly’ will lead the convoy from a one-off 1963 classic car AND feature in the form of an 8-foot-tall model elephant showcased on a truck, displaying pictures of children who have suffered. We figure this visual spectacle ought to make us stand out…
We want as many bikers as possible to support the cause and ride with us for ALL or ANY STAGE of the trip. The more bikers, the more noise we can make on the ground… and in the media. There’s no registration fee, you just need to cover your own expenses - excluding dinner which the charity will provide at the end of each day as a thank you. We’ve organised camping accommodation overnight to keep costs reasonable.
