I think her account was emptied using ATM’s and I’m not sure if they don’t just read the mag strip in Auz:blink:
That would be the ultimate irony. Someone buying a scam kit having their card skimmed.
But they probably wouldn’t care as they’d probably be using a cloned or stolen card anyway.

I had a £1400 loss which was refunded, same situation as the initial post… a card I’d never used in a retail environment so it couldnt have been cloned.
Apparently, part of the problem is that a lot of online retailers dont use the CVV code on the back of the card when verifying cards. They ask for it, but dont use it… So if this happens to you ask the card company if the CVV was used… mind initially insisted it was and then coughed to it not being verified.
