Few questions.
To go on the track does you’re bike need to meet any specific requirements?
Do you need full leathers?

Sorry for the questions, I’m clueless on track days but I’m interested in this.

E-mail sent.

I am booked on this… Anyone else going and want to ride over together to Brands?

No-one?

I’m going, heading out from Shoreditch - anywhere near you?

AMIT…

Big thanks to Kent & Essex Fire Brigades for a pleasant day off work:D

Good to meet Chris (Andersoc), and to see Amit and Zine again.

I never found out what a fire biker does all day when not organising days out and riding Fireblades and Ducatis:) Maybe someone can elucidate.

Anyway I popped my trackday cherry today and mighty fine it felt too.

It was a good day all round and I would recommend it to LBers should it be repeated. A bit of a taster of “First Bike on Scene”, slow speed control, IAM observed rides and trackday.

No jabs in the ribs or travelsick pillions today made a nice change too;)

Riding the Trumpet with the standard quiet can was an unusual experience - sounded like a mouse farting, but I was sure the aftermarket job we have nowadays wouldn’t pass the noise test as there is no baffle for it.

gutted to miss this

I popped in. couldnt bear waiting for you guys to do the road riding so I tailed a trio and got bored… twice… FFS they aint coppers! I did the copper day out and got exited… copper said it was his best training day out

how much fairy liquid did bb2,75 use? :w00t:

bet u showed the fire dude what rideout pace SHOULD have been like!

That must have confused you chris, a ridiculously wide lane with not verges, gravel or leaves to make it interesting? Did the local birdlife at least provide any challenges? :stuck_out_tongue:

No but Zine showed one what trackday pace should be like.

So, the track was OK, after ten laps or so you could practice taking the same corners a little faster.

I missed the trees, road furniture and on coming traffic, that and the unpredictability of bends you`ve never approached before and the speed.

Gravel and horse poo were nowhere to be seen and roads don`t have a yellow cone at the turn in point and a red one at the apex, you have to make yer own choices and live or die by them as there is no kitty litter.

So, in my considered opinion, track days are for wannabe racers and pussys with incontinent tendencies.

That said, each to his or her own.

Clearly you can`t rough up one side of yer tyres or collect an assortment of stickers on her majesties highways but you can get a good lunch and a change of scenery.

Just a viewpoint from an old fart.

you were obviously going too slow AND NOT TRYING TO PASS!!!

Man up, add some oild and do soma Jimmy raping! so its said… :Whistling:

fukkin poofter! u looked bored this afternoon…man up
