2x reg/recs dead in 50miles

Fuses are good already checked that. The part was the same but I bet it was a warranty one they had kicking about. If it goes again I’m gonna go mental at them.

Mmm, this is probably contributing to the problem, but if the bracket is metal, it may still be worth trying.

doubt thats the problem as most are like that and not every bike has this problem, most reg recs are mounted by the 2 bolts with spacers between reg/rec and frame, do you know the replacement reg/rec was same as old 1?

I know Honda reg/recs are prone to overheating. Mine melted it’s plug. The thermal paste has sorted it a treat, but as you say if it doesn’t mount to a flat part of the frame/subframe, then this method won’t even be possible.
