250mph!!!.. Hmmm… has he got a toilet seat fitted on it! :w00t:
looks like a sport bike now. it’s just the engine casing thats hd
Rather him than me.
It’s always doable, whether it that machine is another question.
The last few records have been set in 2 wheeled cars looking like cigar tubes on steroids. Got to have been a reason for that.
is there any harley left in there?
I know him from another forum, he managed 186mph last year, with a smaller turbo & without the intercooler or stage 2 tune…
Jaime, the reason it looks like a sport bike is because it’s a v rod, & started life like mine, it was never the usual tractor like Harley
here’s a couple more pics.
I sincerely doubt that the standing British record is 222MPH, as the guys at “Straightliners” and on www.200mph.net regularly exceed that speed through timing lights on Busas, ZX12Rs, ZZR14s, etc, etc … at places such as Woodbridge & Elvington. It may well be a British record for a Harley though.
Frank aka “The Flying Dutchman” achieved over 260MPH at elvington on his turbo charged Busa, producing well in excess of 500BHP …
Jack Frost holds the outright British Wheel Driven M/C Record at a tad under 222mph.He has exceeded this speed considerably during a Straightliners event at RAF Woodbridge but this was not an official record run.
I’m surprised to hear that. I don’t particularly pay much attention to “official” records, but I’ve been to Woodbridge a couple of times and run my bike there. Maybe more of the guys on www.200mph.net should run at “official” events, because some of them would blow that record out of the water!
There’s even an old GPZ750 Turbo running speeds in excess of 210MPH … built and ridden by Lorcan Parnell.
Lorcan’s old man Kieth, set alot of standing quarter official records at Santa Pod during the seventies on a Triumph.
I agree SP, there are many records that could easily be broken, but it won’t make you any money & as you say, who pays attention to official records anyway ?..
this guy set a record last month, in a standard smart car !

“Made in America … Perfected in England”. I like that
