2013 Photo days

Ok so two options here: photo days where a bunch of photogeeks can wander around muttering about composition and comparing lens length

and a workshop/seminar type thing at OMC.

Photodays first : once we get a decent length of day (so I’m thinking April mebbe late March) we can pick a Saturday and do little but wander around some area of London taking photos and chewing the fat.

As last year’s failed attempt it won’t be just hard core photography nuts, nor will it be a teaching exercise. Sure everyone will ask everyone questions but it won’t be a master class or anything like it. So anyone with enthusiasm and willingness to walk about aimlessly for a few hours will be welcome.

So dates and location suggestions are welcome. I’m certainly a fan of the disused flats at Elephant and Castle for one venue.

A mooch with camera sounds good to me

Yup, sounds good

I’m up for this.

Yes please!

Count me in.

I’d be quite interested in a day spent finding the best backdrops around London for our bikes. (I like taking pics of my bike  ) This may appeal to more than just photographers. Some will snap, some will have nice bikes, some may even pose

Maybe we even make a 2014 LB calendar from it.

I like this idea a lot! with a few of us we could set up some riding shots too!

And the calendar is a great idea, we could donate proceeds to the LAA

I`ll kick off, Mr January.

A picture at last.

I’d be keen. Not sure of venues though but will post here if I get inspiration. I quite like out of the way coastal/riverside areas with interesting abandoned structures, not sure how many of those there are near to London.

Ok well let me have a think - it’ll be March for sure. There’s just not enough hours of reliable daylight at the moment.

And it’ll be London based as I’ve said - this won’t be about riding anywhere. Clomping around shooting in bike gear isn’t my idea of fun.

Photos are all around in London. Plus beer will probably be drunk too. I approach photography trips as Keith Floyd did cookery trips.
