hey all anyone know where the pick up is on a 2006 hornet? its a digital speedo, keeps intermittenly stopping working.

you checked the fuse ? 
no the actual clocks are working, fuel gauge etc it gets stuck on 0MPH, so cant be the fuse?

there’s a hole in the gearbox casing under the air box that it attaches to (i am told)

Speedo stopped working on my aprilia so I took off the sensor gave it a whack on th garage floor put it back on and it worked again )))
mick@ER had a look, its odd cos its cutting in and out, we think its just replace it job, i caned the sensor with contact cleaner and lo and behold it started working again on way bk to work!
we tested the onnectors all.are fine, so next job is to take the sensor of and give.a.good clean and a whck with a hammer!
dude where on ebay!? i cant see any!?
someone please tell me what twat at Honda put the sensor on top of the crankcase, its a bastard to get too!!
looks like the sensor is on its way out so just gonna replace with a used one to see if it is just the sensor!?
