That is amazing! He’ll need a 20gb flash card for 10 pics

Just read up on how he did it! Absolutely amazing!

157 photographs in the final stitch shot WOW! I want a gigapan

Bit blurry isn’t it ? :stuck_out_tongue:

is it me or are lots of the people sat immediately behind him by the banister ASLEEP !

It’s pretty cool

On another forum I lurk there was a chap who did a HDR panorama of the Liverpool skyline for a Pizza Express at Albert Dock. It’s totally insane and I fully intend to have a go some time. A really interesting read too for any 'togs out there … but a bit heavy going so I’ll sum up for the non-nerdy … (and am fully prepared to stand corrected if anyone wants to because I’ve never actually done a HDR - I just think I understand how it works :hehe: )

Essentially … HDR is a process whereby you merge different exposures of the same scene to get a wider range of tones and colours …

Normally … if you take a picture … you expose/blow out/lose the detail in the bright patches - or - not have a long enough shutter speed to capture the detail in the dark/shadows.

So … lets say you take 3 shots of the same scene … one exposing for the bright bits … one exposing for the dark bits … one half way between the two … then merge them together … you can pick and choose the good bits from each photograph … like so

His pano is a 9 shot wide … 3 shot high … HDR of 3 shots … so it’s 81 individual photos all in …

Not as many as this chaps 157 … but personally … I think it’s a lot more impressive

It’s like an evil version of ‘Where’s Wally’!!! :w00t:

Although I would personally like him to do the same thing with lots of naked women!! :hehe:

It’s fun spotting the different military ranks in the crowd. At first you think the guys in camo must be the top dogs but then what about the guy in the main stand with the shades…straight out of the Matrix?

I just spent nearly an hour playing “Spot the Agent”! :stuck_out_tongue:
There’s loads of them! Even one of your stereotypical agent’s talking into his wrist! :stuck_out_tongue:
I’ll leave you to spot them, but they’re easy enough. Just look for the guys in suits, shades and a funny little wire going up the back of their neck! :w00t:

Happy hunting!
