With all this 3rd EU Directive stuff, and the new system of tests that came in a few weeks ago for learners, I understood it that it was to bring all EU countries into line with each other.
So maybe someone can tell me why our learners with a CBT have to ride a 125 whilst in many other European countries, 150cc scooters are far more prevalent?
In many EU countries passing a car test automatically allowed you to ride a bike of 150cc or in some cases 250cc. In the UK until not that long ago passing a car test allowed you to ride a 50cc moped without L plates and carry pillions. Just as millions of UK drivers still have valid full P licenses, Europeans still have valid obsolete motorcycle classes on their licences.
