125 Friendly Ride Out - Sun 30/03/14

UPDATE: 10am meet up, 10:30am set off!

When I say 125 friendly, read that as TimmyFox will be leading on a WR125x!!!

So I’ve noticed a few 125 riders lurking, looking for a ride out, so here it is… I’ll be at The Ace at 10am, leaving at 10:30am. NOTE: The clocks go forward this weekend so it’ll feel pretty early! Destination is Buckingham, stopping in Winslow on the way back for pub lunch. It’s 100 miles in total so we’ll be gone the best part of the day, back either side of 4pm(ish). The distance sounds a lot more daunting than it really is and the roads are well worth the trip!

This is also 100% big bike friendly, heck, may even need a tail gunner! If it does end up as me and a load of big bikes, destination is the same, I’ll just swap to tail gunner :w00t:

Thanks for putting this together, but I get my Street Triple tomorrow and need a week (or a month) to get used to it before tackling a 100km ride.

I would think it’s the perfect opportunity to take it out for a ride… All you need to do is keep it in second/third and stay away from the breaks mid corner :w00t:

Yes, basically got my money back on it- the beauty of buying at the start of winter, I guess.
Wasn’t worth selling it privately to make an extra £100 or so.

Let me see how I get on with it tomorrow and for the rest of the week.
I’m going from 10bhp to nearly 100bhp though and I don’t want to bin it on the first big ride.

You’ll be fine, it’s not like I’ll be reaching break neck speeds and pinning it in the corners… Be a devil.

Assuming my bike doesn’t explode in the meantime I’m probably up for this. Up for tailgunning, too, since my 500’s not hugely quicker than a 125…

Two up on the 125 could be a laugh!!! Failing that if you have insurance to cover it you can use the WR and I’ll lead on the Hornet.

Would be a laugh but I’m only insured for such shenanigans on the hornet…
Did the same roads two up a couple of weeks ago so if no one else who is lurking offers, the pillion seat is yours.
EDIT: Although I know your aversion to un-faired bikes…
