11-11-11

Before i post this in Ride outs section i want to see what your thoughts are on a run to Ypres in Belgium to visit the WW1 cemetery’s and the Menin Gate.I was thinking of catching the 6am tunnel on the 11th November (wednesday), have lunch in the square and then returning on a late tunnel.

I have not yet arranged a route as i wanted an idea of numbers that would be interested.

So if your interested and don’t mind people seeing you with tears in your eyes and want to see some amazing history and sights then put your name down.

aaw man.

i’ll be in Goa

Sounds a nice idea but lunch in the square is a bit optimistic on that date - you probably won’t get anywhere near it.

(The Last Post is played every night at the Menin Gate by the local Fire Brigade, the traffic stops and people line the streets. Every time it is played it is for one of the fallen named on the gate. It has happened evey night since 11.11.18 except for during WW2. It will continue for many years to come. On an “ordinary” weekend you can’t always get in the square when that is happening)

Will be snowing!!!

think positive, indian summer and all that!!

I’m sure if my bike can manage it then that triumph of yours will be ok;)

I am sure that if your bike could managed so would mine but this is assuming that it would and you know that “assume” is made of don’t you?

BRING IT ON!!!

just for the record, i aint goning if its snowing! lol
