I’d like to buy a 1 piece suit this year and need some advice.
I’m pretty tall, 6’ 5" and don’t know what size to buy. My inside leg measurement is 37".
Can anyone give me some advice?
Thanks in advance,
Vaughn.

Best advice is to go and try some suits on before you buy, wherever you get it from.

Yay… same height as me!!! No, wait a minute I’m 5’6"… damn number dyslexia! ![]()
I think you will struggle to get a suit to fit you, I know from experience (being over 6’ myself) they only tend to cater for the average height, in my experience you can get a made to measure suit for not alot more than an Alpinestars one… Hope this helps…![]()
Try an AGV I thinkthe suits are about £350 but they offer a taylored to fit service, it was in RiDE mag a couple of issues ago.
The tighter the better?! ![]()
In all seriousness, maybe visit Hideout leathers:

I have the same problem, legs and arms are always too short, Im 6, 4".
If you do buy off the peg make sure that you dont just sit on a bike but really move around on it as thats when you will find the arms and legs will ride up. the other thing you will notice is that if you have knee sliders they will be in the wrong place, mine always wear on one side and are impossibe to position correctly.
Do what lusty suggested and give hideout/BKS/Scott a go, all do M2M and will not be much more, and in the long run you will have a decent set of well fitting leathers.
Im off to BKS soon for a measuring session. ![]()
Made to Measure seems the way to go. It´s important.
Mate, not wanting to cast a cloud over Hideout at all, but look at the race galleries and see how many riders have Scott Leathers.
In fact the current Supersport leader (Dennis Hobbs) is the head sales guy so youĺl prob speak to him. And McGuiness wears them too. The BSB guzs get paid to wear their kit but the Supersport guys have to buy them.
For instance, after a minor off I sent mine back for repair and some colour changes to suit my new “scheme”. Cost was 150 quid.
So shop around, but bea in mind what those who put themselves in harm´s way wear.
I can’t praise Hideout enough.
Great service, superb made-to-measure kit and a great ride getting there![]()
It definitely seems that made to measure is the way forward. I’ll check out all of the mentioned places/shops.
Im 6 foot 7" (winner!!) and got a 1 piece suit from Hein Gericke. Cant remember the size off hand but can find out. Definately worth going to the shop (Kenton, Harrow). Guys were a great help. And price was good too! ![]()
That would be handy, there is a shop down the road from me in Maidstone.
