Anyone got the workshop manaul on CD I can have a copy of? I’d like to have a look before diving in with an allen key etc. I’m going to be taking off and replacing some of the bodywork.
crahsed?
Ride out? track jamie… track…
Riding fast on the road is limited only by your mental health…
not by your engine size…
Trueth
fairings come off easy had all mine off twice
So did you crash her or are you just putting the panels away to keep them in tip-top condition until you sell her?
your funny jamie you edited your above post that said “we will have to go on a rideout so i can show you just how fast the R1 is compared to the sooooooooooooo 750”…
It was a stupid comment, one that I hadn’t thought through. It makes me sound arrogant. I don’t condone speeding or using the road as a racetrack therefore I retracted it. I agree with your comment. A 600, 750, 1000 are all going to be the same on the road. It is just down to the state of mind of the rider. We all get the red mist sometimes. I just have to keep reminding myself to calm it down cos it ain’t worth it!
So anyway, Da Artist. No I’ve just got a sh!t load of Carbon Fibre, cans, Power Commander etc. All that good stuff. I’ve already started pulling her to bits. It is fairly straight forward in fact, since I already had enough practise rebuilding the last three bikes I wrecked
Pictures in progress.
Anyone have one of these? I have no idea what make it is, no instructions and the loom is completely different
I got the full workshop manual on my laptop so i can dump it on a cd or stick for you, no probs. I have taken my bike apart quite a bit but stopped at the throttle bodies and called the pro in for that. I had to replace a faulty starter motor! what carbon bits you got? i got nuff carbon as well on mine, changed the sprockets as well 1up front and 2 down back, bla bla bla
Hey I’m back…And I too have dismantled my R1 a few times…I have a workshop CD…Let me know if you want a copy.
Why everyone so quick to jump on the ‘Have you crashed tip’
Almost sounds like relish…
Anyway, agree with Adz…Take the crazy stuff to the track…Not really worth it on the road, but still a great buzz if you can find the right roads and can keep yourself in check (not easy).
Cadwell is probably as close to a road style track I’ve ridden so far…Totally exhilarating and very challenging…Recommended.
so how did you get on mate?
yeah it was more of a joke between me and jamie over selling the 750…
fair play jamie
Bikes going to look nice!!!
get them carbon akras… they look very hot on liz’s bike…
Adz loves me really

erm… sold it mate. That is why I’ve got pictures up of a black R1
More pictures to follow when I get round to fitting some of this stuff, but not tonight as it has been too damp to do any more.
