The idea behind a sport such as SuperMoto is really peculiar and for some reasons also ambitious. This motorsport discipline, born in the 70’s in the USA, evolved during the last 40 years but its main concept never changed so the mix of dirty tracks and features belonging to Road Racing and Motocross made of the SuperMoto an adventurous motorcycle sport whose main appointment of the year is marked by the SuperMoto of Nations.

After many submissions from various countries, as well as through selected model agencies throughout Europe, ten models from ten different countries were invited for a photo and video shoot.

The final Grand Prix of the 2011 FIM Motocross World Championship took place today in Fermo and Gautier Paulin and Jeffrey Herlings were the last GP winners of the season in their respective classes.The top three riders of the 2011 FIM MX1 World Championship are Antonio Cairoli, who missed his home GP because his mother passed away on Friday, Steven Frossard, who was not present either because he is still recovering from the injury he suffered in Gaildorf, and Clement Desalle, who could keep the third place in the standings.

The beautiful Italian track hosted today the MX1 and MX2 qualifying races and the first race of the last round of the UEM EMX-125 series. The almost 34 degrees registered today in Fermo did not stop Gautier Paulin and Tommy Searle to dominate their respective qualifying races and later on Simone Zecchina was proclaimed the 2011 UEM EMX-125 Champion after finishing fifth in today’s heat and having still one more race to go tomorrow. The penultimate Grand Prix of the season, set for Gaildorf this 4th September weekend, is about to start. The German track has been out from the FIM Motocross World Championship calendar since 2005 and in its comeback, Gaildorf can enter the history of the sport again as there is the possibility of having the MX1 and MX2 World Titles decided here.

Rumours have been flying, saying that Antonio Cairoli will participate in the AMA National series next year with KTM, but after talking with the concerned parties, it's necessary to inform that these are only allegations and don't reflect the reality; Antonio Cairoli has signed a contract with KTM to race the FIM Motocross World Championship next year and for the future.

Last weekend it took place the Monster Energy FIM Junior World Championship in the Italian track of Cingoli. Spanish Jorge Prado was proclaimed as the 65cc FIM World Champion, Pauls Jonass from Latvia was the winner in the 85cc class and Joseph Savatgy from the USA was the 125cc champion.

The demanding track of Lommel hosted the twelfth Grand Prix of the season meeting all the expectations. In both MX1 and MX2 classes there was incredible racing and Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings showed their skills on the sand wining the Grand Prix with a double victory in their respective categories.The penultimate round of the UEM EMX2 championship took also place today in Lommel and Donny Bastemeijer obtained the overall victory after finishing second and first in the races. Michael Van Wezel was second and Kenny Vandueren completed the podium.

Although one rider is Scottish (Shaun Simpson) and one is Belgian (Ken De dycker), both LS Honda Racing riders live only little more than a stone’s throw away from the Lommel track where the 11th round of the MX1 World Championship is staged. Obviously the GP of Limburg is also LS Honda’s home GP.
