Cal Crutchlow demonstrated his skill and bravery to mount a stunning challenge for a maiden front row grid position at the world famous Circuit van Drenthe in Assen this afternoon.

Nicky Hayden had some difficulty finding a good rhythm during qualifying for the Assen TT, but a change to a different shock setting helped to improve his feeling with the bike near the end of the session and to finish with the ninth-best time.

Marco Simoncelli once again showed why they call him 'Super' at Assen today, following up his fastest lap in the wet yesterday will pole position in the dry today, his second in MotoGP. Now the only thing remaining his for him to finally shake off the hoodoo of the last five Grands Prix.

After yesterday's FP2 was cancelled due to track conditions, this morning offered the first opportunity for the Repsol Honda riders to set up their RC212V's in dry conditions in an extended 90 minute session at the Assen circuit.

Team Gresini rider Toni Elias' march to glory remains unstoppable, the Spaniard today overcoming his ongoing physical problems to dominate qualifying practice and secure pole position for the San Marino Grand Prix. After a largely unproductive morning the Spaniard took to the track with great determination this afternoon and set himself up perfectly for another challenge for honours in tomorrow's race.

As Silverstone gears up to host Britain’s only round of the 2010 MotoGP Championship in just over a week’s time (18 – 20 June), the Northamptonshire circuit has announced that all of the MotoGP riders will be taking time-out to make appearances on a purpose-built concert stage in the public Entertainment Zone at the new Arena Complex.

The North West 200 looks to be even better this year with many LeoVince sponsored race teams and riders well up in the qualifying results. The 2 riders that stand out are Michael Dunlop and Keith Amor making it a one-two in the Supersport category, great qualifying results considering both riders are running their own private teams against the big factory backed teams.

Nicole McAleer celebrated reaching the milestone of becoming an adult last Friday, when she celebrated her 18th birthday by moving up into the National Metezler Superstock 600 Championship. Despite not being able to really party this weekend McAleer is on cloud nine, when she stole the show in qualifying today for the opening round of the Championship.
