As well as riding his beloved Mar-Train Racing R6 Yamaha in both Supersport races on Thursday night [May 16] and Race Day Saturday, May 18, Easton will have the use of the recently built Mar-Train Racing Yamaha R1 for the two Superbike races at the North West on May 18.

International North West 200 organisers, Coleraine & District Motor Club Ltd have confirmed that next year’s Race Day will take place on Saturday 19th May 2012 following ratification by governing body, the Motor Cycling Union of Ireland (MCUI) during November.

MSS Colchester Kawasaki have signed young Superbike rider Alex Lowes for the rest of the season, after his impressive ride at Thruxton deputising for Stuart Easton. Meanwhile Andrew Pitt has joined the team as Crew Chief for Gary Mason, giving team boss Nick Morgan more time to run the whole squad, as the series moves to Knockhill in Scotland. Pitt was World Supersport Champion for Kawasaki in 2001.

The Isle of Man Government’s Department of Economic Development has reached an agreement with Motul, Europe’s leading motorcycle lubricants and lubrication company, to extend their partnership as The Official Lubricants Partner to the Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy. As part of their sponsorship Motul has created a ‘Technical Team Award’ for ‘the best team performance’ at the TT Races.

After scoring a sixth and tenth in race one of the Fuchs Silkolene British Supersport race yesterday at Croft the East Coast Racing riders Gary Johnson and Lee Johnston had a good second race today at Croft as Gary gained sixth place with Lee not far behind him in seventh.

Stuart Easton has surprised doctors with his resilience and progress after his serious accident at the North West 200 road race last Thursday. The MSS Colchester Kawasaki rider is being cared for at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast and will be undergoing an operation to pin his pelvis and femur on Friday.
