The Rapid Solicitors-Bathams Ducati team endured a weekend of mixed emotions at the ninth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park as Michael Rutter was disappointingly denied the chance to challenge for the top six ahead of the Showdown whilst Martin Jessopp had his strongest weekend of the season to score three top eight finishes.

Josh Brookes continued his good run of form with a second successive British Superbike podium, taking second place earlier today at Oulton Park in race one. Sadly the meeting was later abandoned due to standing water on the circuit, with Superbike race two now re-scheduled to run as part of an exciting triple-header at Cadwell Park on August 27 – 29.

After four busy days at Cartagena the Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing team can return to the UK very satisfied indeed, after what team manager Philip Neill described, 'as perhaps our most productive test ever'. All three riders learned so much about their new machinery for 2011 and not one of the team's GSX-R machines missed a beat all week, despite accumulating the maximum amount of laps available on each of the four days.
