From his stunning debut win at Thruxton race circuit a couple of weekends ago the tables took a turn for the worst at Oulton Park this weekend for Ian Lowry. The rescheduled Brands Hatch race took place on bank holiday Sunday at Oulton and Ian was forced to retire with a technical problem on the Padgetts Honda.

James Ellison and the sorrymate.com Honda team continued to make good progress at the latest round of the British Superbike Championship and they were rewarded with their first top ten finish since they joined forces in July. Competing in round 9 at Cadwell Park, Ellison scored points in each of the three races and finished the weekend strongly with tenth place in the final race on Monday.

James Ellison put in a strong performance on his sorrymate.com Honda debut in the British Superbike Championship at the weekend and was rewarded with points in his very first outing. Torrential rain at Oulton Park meant only one race could be held on Sunday but the Cumbrian ace fought his way superbly through the pack from 23rd on the first lap to 11th at the end for 5 hard earned points.

A very wet weekend at Oulton Park resulted in a much shorted Metzeler National Superstock 1000 race. Tristan Palmer posted a solid sixth place and David Johnson finished seventh, his best result of the 2011 season for the Corporate FX sponsored GBmoto Racing. With championship leader Danny Buchan crashing out, Tristan has retaken the overall championship lead.

Swiss rider Patric Muff had another great weekend on the Quay Garage Tyco Honda when he finished fourth in the second BSB Evo race of the day at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk, the new-look ‘300’ circuit attracting a record weekend crowd of 43,000.

From the Isle of Man comes a new legendary victory signed Sidi Sport .The rider John McGuinness literally snatched the Tourist Trophy, in the circuit’s centennial year by clinching the two most important tests, the Superbike category dedicated to big bikes and in the Senior category, dedicated to riders over 40.

Jonathan Rea and Carlos Checa scored a win apiece at Assen today, in races held in dry and occasionally sunny conditions at this classic Dutch track. Rea was particularly happy to see his first victory arrive at his team's home circuit, after some tough times early in the season.
