Kawasaki has initiated a recall campaign to replace the Electronic Control Unit on affected units of 2009 and 2010 VN1700 Voyager, VN1700 Classic Tourer and VN1700 Classic models due the possibility of the engine stalling under deceleration due to an improper setting of the ECU.

Roads closed around the course at 5.20pm but mist on the mountain and a rain shower meant that the first bikes left the startline on Glencrutchery Road shortly after 6.30pm in an untimed practice.

The Senior Post Classic class has, arguably, the strongest entry of any race at this year's MGP with five Suzuki XR69 997cc machines, three of which will be in the hands of TT winners Ryan Farquhar and Michael Dunlop and fans favourite Guy Martin. Farquhar took the inaugural race last year in difficult conditions and will line-up as one of the pre-race favourites whilst Martin is expected to challenge if he has recovered from his TT injuries.
