We've got two great things to announce! A big hand-over of money to the London Air Ambulance (LAA) which our members helped raise at the 2007 LB Christmas Party, and the formation of a new LB aspect, the Charity Council, a group charged with bringing great new charity fund-raising efforts to LB. For the hand-over, you're invited! We're holding it at next week's LB Borough Market Meet on the 27th. Come along!

You know about it, you must do. If you don't, where have you been?! It's going to be the party of the year. Forget your work do's, forget the people you only see once a year and don't really get on with that much anyhow, it's all about the annual LB Christmas Party!
The Charity Auciton for the London Air Ambulance is shaping up really well! We've been working hard to secure a great range of items and services for people to bid for on the night. All money goes to the LAA, so we're hoping you're all going to get into the spirit and dig deep, as they badly need the money to provide this world-class and essential medical service. They've helped out countless bikers in London before, so it's our job to help support them I think.

Traditionally Christmas is a time when many youngsters get their first taste of motorcycling with the gift of a minibike. These bikes are great fun and an excellent way of getting the next generation of riders and racers onto two wheels, but Honda is stressing the need for safety and the use of such machines in the right place at the right time.

Christmas has come early for the motorcycle media as BMW Motorrad is extending its short-term press fleet to cover the festive period. BMW Motorrad understands that your motorcycle magazines, newspaper columns and biking websites are published all year round, and as such it is vital to make our products available for press use – especially as BMWs are arguably more suited to year-round riding than any other manufacturer’s machines.

The Government and Police join forces today to remind drivers of the perils of drinking and driving over Christmas. The annual THINK! Drink Drive campaign may be in its 30th year, but its message for South East drivers remains the same. As people gear up for the party season the campaign will warn motorists about the dangers of getting behind the wheel after even just one drink.

If you want an after-market exhaust or carbon product for your bike at 10 per cent discount then look no further than Crescent and its Xmas sale that begins on Saturday, 2nd December, at its Performance Centre in Verwood, Dorset. Yoshimura leads the way in exhaust performance and style - as used by Rizla Suzuki's British Superbike team - while Akrapovic and Arrow add their offerings to make sure that there is an end can or a full system to suit just about any performance bike on the market.

LB has just thrown their first ever official bash; The Christmas Party, held in the West End on the 10th of December, 2005. About fifty members attended over the evening, either to meet existing friends and have a great time, put faces to names on the site, or even just to make new friends. Our Technical Safety Partners, Adrenalin X were present to sponsor the Awards and provide raffle prizes.
The evening kicked off at around 6.30, after a few members started showing up. The underground and traffic was mayhem in the West End, which delayed quite a few people on their way to the venue. By 7pm the place started to fill up, it was really great being able to see the community come together and get to know each other in the flesh. Everyone was laughing and chatting, introducing themselves and finding out who was who on the site. At 8pm the party was full flow with LB member, DJ Jason spinning the tunes and getting everyone in the party mood.
