It was the third time in a row that the FIM Motocross World Championship travelled to Latvia, and the Zelta Zirgs track of Kegums fulfilled everybody’s expectations hosting incredible racing in both MX1 and MX2 classes. Antonio Cairoli and Ken Roczen obtained one more Grand Prix victory and increased the gap with their pursuers for the chase of the Title.The fifth round of the UEM EMX2 Championship took also place today in Kegums and Estonian Priit Rätsep dominated both heats, ahead of Stefan Olsen and Romain Febvre, who were second and third respectively.

Two Ducatis led the way in this afternoon’s first qualifying session for the Czech Republic Round at Brno, the quickest being the Althea Racing machine of points leader Carlos Checa. The Spaniard’s time of 1 minute 59.322 seconds was a couple of tenths quicker than the one recorded by the next man, home favourite Jakub Smrz on the all-Czech Effenbert-Liberty Racing 1098R.
