The Repsol Honda Team began the Grand Prix of San Marino in good shape, only five days after racing in Indianapolis with a very different layout but similar weather conditions. Casey Stoner, the current MotoGP World Championship leader, and Dani Pedrosa, the winner here last year, immediately got down to business in Misano and finished the first day of free practices in second and third positions respectively, while Andrea Dovizioso recorded the sixth fastest time on his return to his home GP.

Casey Stoner completed a perfect weekend today with his victory at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix, celebrating Honda's second successive win here at the brickyard and marking Honda's third consecutive win on American shores.

Casey Stoner scored his sixth win of the season, and Andrea Dovizioso his fifth podium in a Honda 1-2-3, the first all-Honda podium since Laguna Seca 2006, and the first of the 800cc period. Unfortunately, only the crash of Dani Pedrosa, on the third lap has marred what has been one of the best Sunday's for the Japanese manufacturer.

The Repsol Honda Team dominated the German Grand Prix in a hard fought thirty lap race. The 101,309 spectators at Sachsenring witnessed an incredible battle for the win between Pedrosa, Stoner and Lorenzo, with Dani Pedrosa finally clinching victory.

Casey Stoner was the first Repsol Honda rider to exit the garage, 15 minutes after the track was opened. The Australian rider who had a small crash in the morning session, completed forty-seven laps and set a new circuit record of 1'47.326 on his penultimate lap, seven tenths faster than his pole position time set here on Saturday. In addition to the swing arm, Casey tested a new Bridgestone front tyre as well as some other smaller set up issues on his RC212V.

Not only spurred on by the good results achieved in recent races by Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso, but also by the welcomed return of Dani Pedrosa to the competition.

If, as it looks more likely, Pedrosa will not race in Assen, he will be replaced in the Repsol Honda team by Hiroshi Aoyama, with HRC test rider, Kousuke Akiyoshi stepping in to take his place in the San Carlo Honda Gresini Team. HRC would be pleased to give an opportunity to Aoyama to race in Assen on the Factory RC212V and thanks Gresini Racing Team for their cooperation.

The Repsol Honda Team will face the British Grand Prix this weekend with Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso, but Dani Pedrosa sadly confirmed yesterday that he will miss the race in order to fully recover from his right collar bone injury. The Spanish rider will not be replaced and the Repsol Honda Team will take part in this weekend's British Grand Prix only with Stoner and Dovizioso.
