Ducati heads towards the Capital for the MCN London Motorcycle Show on the back of yet another award winning year. 2008 saw the introduction of their strongest ever line-up which culminated in Ducati being crowned the MCN Manufacturer of the year and awarded Machine of the year for the legendry Desmosedici RR. Amongst the highlights of the Show will be the new Streetfighter making its London debut at ExCel in Docklands. The 1098 powered naked bike boasts 155hp and with the Ducati Traction control and data logging as standard on the ‘S’ version, this will arguably become the most technologically advanced naked bike on the market when it hits showrooms in the Spring.

The new Ducati models will today make their public debut before huge crowds at the eicma show in Milan. Last night’s global preview was a great success as ducati presented the stunning new streetfighter and welcomed the new 1198 and the limited edition 1098 R ‘Bayliss’ relpica to the superbike family. The 1100 monster completes the new additions for 2009. A catwalk more familiar to the Milan fashion week, set the scene for the entrance of the 2009 new additions to the Bologna manufacturer’s range. These dream bikes are the result of Italian genius and creativity and will capture the attention of visitors to the EICMA 2008, Milan’s international motorcycle show being held at the city’s international exhibition centre in Rho, from 4th to 9th November. From here they will go on to set new standards as they arrive on the international market.

At the 2007 Paris Motor Show, Ducati has launched two new colours for its 2008 model range with a new black version for the Hypermotard 1100S and a 'Tricolore' S4RS model. After the success of the Hypermotard in its' traditional red, the company has decided to launch an aggressive, all black, version for model year 2008. The black paint scheme will be available in the higher specification 'S' model and should be seen in UK showrooms towards the end of this year.
