HM Plant Honda head to Croft for sponsor’s ‘home’ race
11 September 2008
Riders Leon Haslam, Cal Crutchlow and Steve Brogan are looking forward to podium finishes from this weekend’s Croft races. The North Yorkshire circuit is the ‘home’ round of title sponsor HM Plant, so all three will be aiming to impress at the 2.12-mile circuit. This weekend could see Steve Brogan take the Metzeler National Superstock title. The Liverpool ace needs just five points from Sunday’s 15-lap race, and he knows that despite two rounds remaining after this weekend, a solid result would earn him the title.

Inspired Cal Takes Pole Position
12 August 2007
Rizla Suzuki ace Cal Crutchlow blitzed his first ever front row starting position by taking pole position for tomorrow’s 10th round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Croft in North Yorkshire – the team’s first pole since Brand Hatch in October 2005 with James Haydon. The Superbike rookie puts the success largely down to an inspired plan for the qualification session hatched by his Chief Technician, Pete Jennings, who insisted he use one pre-qualifying and two qualifying tyres. After three superb practice sessions when he found a competitive race setting and tyre, Cal rode with confidence and ability to deservedly head the field in qualification.
