Bayliss & Fabrizio Complete Final Test Session In Qatar

Bayliss and Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) took to the track this week in Qatar, taking part in the final test sessions before the Superbike championship begins on 23rd February. Faced with blistering track temperatures, Bayliss got back to business after an enforced rest period due to a broken collarbone, and clocked up a total of 55 laps on Wednesday with a fastest lap time of 1m58.8s. Team-mate Fabrizio registered a fastest lap time of 1m59.6s, completing a total of 71 laps on this, the second and last day of testing for the Ducati Xerox Team.

Team Ducati Xerox Unveils New Livery Of The 1098 F08

During the official presentation of the Ducati 1098 R, which took place this week at the Spanish track in Jerez de la Frontera, Team Ducati Xerox have unveiled the new livery of the Ducati 1098 F08 that will participate in the World Superbike Championship. The new 1098 F08 is directly derived from the 1098 R and has been developed as a result of the new World Superbike regulations that allow for both 1200cc two-cylinder machines and 1000cc four-cylinders to line up on the grid together for the first time.

Bayliss Heads Timesheets For Ducati Xerox In 1st Qualifying

Troy Bayliss topped the qualifying timesheets for the Ducati Xerox Team at the end of the first session at the Eurospeedway Lausitz in Germany. The Australian, who set a time of 1m38.569s, was a couple of tenths quicker than his fellow Australian, Troy Corser (Yamaha) and four-tenths ahead of the Japanese duo of Yukio Kagayama (Suzuki) and Noriyuki Haga (Yamaha). Bayliss's team-mate Lorenzo Lanzi was in tenth position but just one second away from the provisional pole mark.

Bayliss's Championship Hopes All But Ended With Brands Results

Troy Bayliss's hopes of taking a second successive World Superbike title for the Ducati Xerox Team all but vanished today as he came away from Brands Hatch with disappointing results in the two races. The 2006 champion started from pole position but crashed out on lap 5 of race 1. Troy then struggled with tyre problems in race 2 and could only finish seventh as James Toseland (Honda) took a double win in front of a massive 126,000 crowd. Lorenzo Lanzi also had a disappointing day, the Italian only managing a ninth and a twelfth in the two races.

Ducati Corse Riders At 2007 World Ducati Week

Preparations are gearing up feverishly for the fifth edition of the international meeting organized by the Italian manufacturer which will be held from June 28 to July 1 at the revamped "Misano World Circuit". As is tradition, all the Ducati Corse factory riders will be involved in the big red Ducati party on Italy's Adriatic Riviera. Friday and Saturday will be dedicated entirely to the riders of the Ducati Xerox Team that takes part in the World Superbike Championship. Two-times world champion Troy Bayliss and his team-mate Lorenzo Lanzi will be present in the circuit for a series of initiatives that will see them involved both on the track with their Ducati 999F07 machines and off-track with the numerous public present in the paddock.

Ducati Xerox Riders Give Thumbs Up For New Misano World Circuit

Misano Adriatico (Italy), Wednesday 16 May: Ducati Xerox Team riders Troy Bayliss and Lorenzo Lanzi gave a resounding thumbs up to the new Misano World Circuit as they completed a two-day testing session on the new track layout. The former Santamonica, a classic of the Superbike calendar, has been totally modified, resurfaced and lengthened by 120 metres to 4.180 kms. The Misano World Circuit was inaugurated in its latest configuration at the end of March. It retains a similar layout to the old track but races will now be run in a clockwise direction.

Bayliss Battles To Two Podiums For Ducati Xerox Team At Monza

Troy Bayliss (Ducati Xerox) battled his way to a couple of hard-fought podium finishes in front of an 108,000 strong crowd at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. Troy finished runner-up in the first race and then almost picked up the same result in the second encounter as Yamaha's Noriyuki Haga took a double victory. There was little joy for team-mate Lorenzo Lanzi, who finished seventh in race 1 and then had an electrical problem on the grid which meant he was a non-starter in race 2. Bayliss is still in fourth place in the table after gaining just three points on championship leader James Toseland (Honda).

Bayliss Takes Front Row Grid For Ducati Xerox At Monza

Troy Bayliss rode a storming Superpole lap at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza this afternoon to line up second on the starting-grid for tomorrow's Italian Round of the World Superbike Championship. The Australian's time of 1'45.345 was only bettered by polesitter Noriyuki Haga who was four-tenths of a second quicker on his Yamaha. Max Biaggi (Suzuki) and Troy Corser (Yamaha) make up the front row ahead of points leader James Toseland (Honda), while Ducati Xerox team-mate Lorenzo Lanzi recorded a 1'47.067 to go twelfth quickest.

999R Xerox And Hypermotard Awarded In “the World’s Most Beautiful Motorcycles”

The International Panel of Judges of the “World’s Most Beautiful Motorcycle” awards met last Friday at Cortile della Seta in Milano, a historic courtyard made available by Banca Popolare Commercio e Industria. The judges were the artists Heinz Mack, Vittorio Matino and Kenneth Noland, 15 time motorcycle world champion, Giacomo Agostini, the design professor Enrico Fagone, the transportation designer Michael Conrad, the fashion designer Carlo Rivetti, and the journalist Alessandro Giudice. The jury was chaired by Mr. Bruno Alfieri. The 26 examined and evaluated motorcycle and scooter models and defined the top aesthetic achievements of 15 European, Japanese and American manufacturers.
