Britain’s Graeme Gowland debut in the World Endurance Championship nearly ended with the perfect result of a podium on the Phase One Yamaha but less than a minute denied the British team that final podium place. When the chequered flag came out at the end of the 8 hours at the German Oschersleben circuit the Phase One team took fourth, just 56 seconds off third place finishers SERT Suzuki, in the race which was won by Kawasaki France with Yamaha Austria taking second.
Suzuki Endurance Racing Team's number two squad led a SERT GSX-R1000 one-two at the opening round of the World Endurance Championship at Le Mans in France yesterday.
