Round eight of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship moves north of the border this forthcoming weekend when the series makes its annual visit to the Knockhill circuit in Fife. Looking to capitalise on a fantastic performance at the previous round at Oulton is Hydrex Bike Animal Honda ace James Ellison, who secured his second podium placing of the season last time out and is hoping to continue his good form in Scotland. 27 year old Ellison, from Kendal in Cumbria, has not visited the 1.3 mile hillside track which overlooks the Firth of Forth for four years but with recent developments aboard the Shaun Muir Racing Honda Fireblade, he is expected to again be running at the front from the word go.
Jentin Racing/Lloyds British and rider Simon Andrews are making final preparations for their entry as a wild card into the Brands Hatch round of the 2008 Hannspree World Superbike championship on Sunday, August 3rd. Andrews rode the Lloyds British backed Yamaha R1 to an excellent season best result of fifth in his previous outing at Oulton Park in the British Superbike championship, following up with a solid sixth place in race two and is confident he can produce yet another strong performance in each of the two 25-lap World Superbike races at the Kent circuit on Sunday.
Huddersfield bike racer Tom Tunstall is all set to get on track with the world's best Supersport riders next weekend, as a "Wild Card" entry at the European round of the World Superbike Championships, on Sunday 7th August.
