Livia Lancelot got all eyes on her at the glamorous FIM Awards, as she was the queen of the night, in a magnificent evening dress. Sébastien Pourcel received the prestigious MX1 Pole Position Award. The magnificent “Salle des Etoiles” in Monaco was once more the meeting point for all the Motocross and Supermoto World Champions, celebrated by more than 500 guests during an unforgettable evening. To start with, all the Champions attended a press conference, and later received their FIM Prize during the dinner gala.

KTM and Tyla Rattray Mutually Agree to Part in 2009

Red Bull KTM's Tyla Rattray is MX2 World Champion

Tyla Rattray on Sunday became the worthy MX2 World Champion, confirming the title with a second place in the first moto at Faenza the last GP of the season. Stefan Pierer, CEO of KTM Sportsmotorcycle AG was at the finish line to congratulate the freshly crowned world champion from South Africa saying: "We believed in Tyla and he finally did it. He's a great guy!" Rattray has come close to taking the title before but has been dogged by injuries, including one that took him out of contention in the final stages of the season that required major knee construction surgery.

Fairyhouse Racecourse hosted a crowded Grand Prix of the Republic of Ireland today in front of 16,000 spectators who enjoyed the sunny weather. Tanel Leok won his first ever MX1 GP from Ken de Dycker and Steve Ramon, who is still second in the Championship with a five point gap from leader David Philippaerts. In the MX2 class Tyla Rattray won from Tommy Searle and Steven Frossard as first heat winner Zach Osborne broke the bike in the final heat.

Searle Wins but Rattray Still Holds Red Plate

Tommy Searle got the edge on Red Bull KTM teammate Tyla Rattray in race two on the twisty Loket track on Sunday to come away with the overall Czech Republic GP victory. Searle has now inched closer to championship leader Tyla as the fight between the teammates for the MX2 title goes right down to the wire. With Anthony Boissiere of the KTM-supported team HDI of France in third place on the podium, it was an excellent result for the Austrian manufacturer.

Jonathan Barragan took his third consecutive GP win courtesy of an incredible performance on the sand while Estonian Gert Krestinov wrapped up his maiden GP win after he celebrated his 18th birthday yesterday.

In what is now effectively a two-man KTM race for the MX2 world championship title, Tommy Searle came out on top in the GP at Nelspruit, South Africa while local hero Tyla Rattray placed second. The two KTM riders performed well and Tyla was treated to a great show fo support from local South African fans.

Red Bull KTM duo Tommy Searle and Tyla Rattray took the first two places in Qualifying Race One in Nelspruit on Saturday ahead of the MX2 GP of South Africa. The team's third KTM factory rider Rui Goncalves was fifth in the second race won by arch rival Antonio Cairoli. Riders battled in extremely hot conditions on the track in the north east of South Africa where Rattray on Sunday will go into his home GP with the red number plate as championship leader. The fight for the title in MX2 has developed into a war of attrition between Searle, Rattray and Cairoli and one that the two KTM riders intend to win.

The FIM Motocross World Championship goes back to South Africa this weekend for the tenth round of the season. Two years after its latest appearance in the country which saw legendary Stefan Everts race his last South African GP, the series has now David Philippaerts leading the MX1 standings with home rider Tyla Rattray on top of the MX2 series.

KTM's Max Nagl Wins a Tough Duel at ADAC Masters

Red Bull KTM's MX1 factory rider Max Nagl made the ADAC MX Masters a true nail-biter on Sunday when he fought right to the bitter end to claim victory from Belgian Clement Desalle in the fourth round of the series held in Ried im Innkreis. Races in all three classes were decided in the final stages making it a real thriller for the 7,000+ spectators who, undeterred by indifferent weather, attended the event.

Red Bull KTM factory rider Tyla Rattray scored a 1-3 finish in the two motos for overall second in a mud and rain-soaked MX2 GP in Uddevala, southern Sweden. The South African's days work gave him 45 points to retain his lead in the championship and the coveted red plate, despite a tenacious effort by his nemesis Antonio Cairoli of Italy whose 1-2 result gave him the top podium step on the day.

Red Bull KTM's South African rider Tyla Rattray came, saw and conquered the rough track at Teutschenthal, Germany on Sunday with a 2-1 result for overall victory. Rattray's second race left no-one in doubt that he is hot property and determined to go to his home GP in South Africa as the holder of the red number placte as the championship leader. Rattray came in second in the first race behind title holder and arch rival Antonio Carioli but was supreme in the second, amassing a lead of some 30 seconds in the closing stages, enough to coast home and enjoy the adoration of the crowd on the way back to the chequered flag.

Josh Coppins Takes First MX GP Win of 2008

An action packed weekend of Motocross racing ended today at Teutschenthal in front of 34,000 spectators. Kiwi Joshua Coppins came back to victory by finishing first in both heats and is now second in the Championship from Yamaha team mate David Philippaerts. Tyla Rattray wrapped up the overall and the red plate in the MX2 class. Home rider Steffi Laier won this penultimate round of the Women’s World Championship from series leader Livia Lancelot and Maria Franke.
