Trucklinks Yamaha Supersport rider, Joe Dickinson walks away from the opening Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship round at Thruxton still in search of his first points of the season (20th April). The 24 year old from Clowne in North Derbyshire had shown his true potential in the closing minutes of the first qualifying session, posting his Yamaha YZF-R6 in fifth position. A drying track in Qualifying Two saw the lap times tumbling, Joe put in a fast early lap time to keep his Yamaha YZF-R6 in the top five before crashing out and having to watch the rest of the session from the pit garage.
Joe Dickinson will this weekend put behind him the frustrations of the abandoned opening round at Brands Hatch as he heads for the Hampshire circuit of Thruxton for round two of the 2008 Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship (18-20 April). The 24 year old from Clowne in Derbyshire was widely tipped as a pre-season favourite for Supersport honours and his initial lap times at brands Hatch proved that the partnership between Rob Mac Racing and Truck Links could prove to be very fruitful for all concerned.
