It lasted just a few meters the race at Monza for the pair of 675 Triumph – SC ridden by Garry McCoy and Ruggero Scambia: both the riders of the English triples have been throw down in the gravel during the first lap confusion in the first chicane after a quite good start. The morning’s warm up session showed that the situation was increasing in a positive way and just the unbelievable misfortune did prevent a final good result.

The ultra fast Monza circuit gave hard difficulties to the English three cylinder machines in this first day of the Italian round of the WSBK Championship on the 5793 meters of the historical circuit situated in Milano’s hinterland. After a free practice session full of mechanical and electric troubles fr the afternoon qualifying the bike of Garry McCoy performed a little better, but the Australian “King of Sliding” has been not able to do better as 22nd position, clearly far from the leaders.

Starting from the next round at Monza the young rider Ruggero Scambia will be the substitute rider for Ilario Dionisi on the Team Triumph-SC Daytona 675 Supersport. Following personal requirement of the rider as well of the team we are unfortunately forced to stop our co-operation with Ilario Dionisi, who will be substituted by Ruggero Scambia. Ruggero Scambia was born in Orvieto (Umbria) in October 24, 1985 and started racing in 2005 riding an Aprilia 125 Production in the Coppa Italia series, a trophy that contested also in the following season winning a rece in Magione circuit, finishing four times on the podium and ending at the 3rd position in the final ranking.

Fueling the Future – Students Run Triumph's on Apples

A Triumph Daytona 675 powered by bioethanol fuel on Friday reached an astonishing track speed of 158.7 mph at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground! The biofuel used for this groundbreaking initiative was produced from windfall apples by A-level students from a local school. Devised by Rupert Paul, contributing editor of Bike magazine, “Project Fast Fruit” aimed to convert and run a high performance vehicle on biofuel using only basic equipment. As such, the fuel was produced in a Chemistry Lab as part of an A-level project by students from the Prince William School in Oundle, Northamptonshire.

4th & 5th Row for the Team Triumph-SC at Assen

The final qualifying day at Assen has been lighted up for the sun, excluded a short rain shower early in the morning. For the Triumph-SC Team not everybody has been perfect, but it had some satisfaction too, as the best maximum speed recorded by the 675 Daytonas Supersport in the speed trap placed in the circuit’s fastest line.

Once more a bad day which completed a week end to forget for Team Triumph-SC at Valencia circuit, third round of World Supersport. Garry McCoy and Ilario Dionisi race just a few laps before to stop. The Roman guy crashed at the second lap, while McCoy got a brilliant start, but has beel forced to stop for technical problems.

Team Triumph-SC spent the opening day of the third round of the World Supersport Championship at Valencia hard at work dialling in the Triumph 675 for the tight and twisty Spanish circuit. Having missed last months test at the track the team arrived with no previous data for the British machine and spent the two 45 minute sessions working on gear box and suspension settings in preparation for final qualifying on Saturday.

The Scuderia Triumph-SC team is very busy to prepare the European 600 Superstock Championship start next April 5 in Valencia. The Italian squad made a two-day test on Mugello Circuit with the 675 Daytona in Superstock configuration. Talented British riders Tom Grant and Robbie Stewart, which will campaign the Scuderia Triumph- SC 675 in the 2008 European Superstock 600 series, could make a good job, despite the amateur’s traffic which crowded the track, also thank the splendid sunshine week end.

MKW Announces Two Man Rider Line-Up For 2008

2008 will see the newly formed MKW Suspension field a two man team focusing on British Superbike in the Junior Superstock class and the New Era Superclub Formula 600 Championship. The new Triumph team will be run by Chris Moore, owner of the newly formed business MKW Suspension. The busy year will see Chris not only with a new business venture but take two relatively new riders and nurture them in the British championships. Moore is keen to dispel the myth that suspension is a ‘black art’, offering race engineering services through practical workshops to understand your motorcycle. Moore has previously worked with Centurion Honda and was instrumental in helping Pete Spalding to the 2006 British Supersport Cup title and won the 2007 New Era Superclub 600 Championship with RLR Motorsport and Steve Tomes.
