Molson Kawasaki Take on Desertmartin
25 June 2008
Molson teamsters Stephen Sword and Tom Church battle it out at round five of the British Championship at Desertmartin in Northern Ireland. For the fifth round of the British motocross championship the Molson Kawasaki team headed across the Irish Sea to the Porter’s Pit circuit that’s located near the village of Desertmartin in the district of Magherafelt. Persistent rain on the day helped dampen spirits at the sandy venue that has hosted the Irish GP in the past.

Gareth Swanepoel Prepares for Comeback!
25 May 2008
Molson Kawasaki’s conspicuously absent team-member Gareth Swanepoel is on the mend and should be back to full fitness – and back at the races, for the tail end of the 2008 grand prix season. With the ongoing on track success of Molson teamsters Stephen Sword, Gautier Paulin and Tom Church it has almost been possible to overlook the absence of the team’s missing rider, South African 23-year-old Gareth Swanepoel, who’s been sidelined since competing in the first round of the British motocross championship back in March.

Paulin Pushes on While Sword’s Sideswiped in Mantova
20 May 2008
It’s all go in Mantova as Molson Kawasaki rider Gautier Paulin finishes inside the top-10, Stephen Sword is T-boned out of contention and MX1 rider Tom Church has his strongest race of the year so far. Wet weather can’t dampen the Molson Kawasaki team spirit in Mantova, Italy for the fifth round of the Motocross World Championship. With the supercross style Mantova circuit being somewhat wetter than expected, conditions were tough for both the MX1 and MX2 competitors.

Bad Luck Blights Molson in Bulgaria
13 May 2008
The Molson Kawasaki MX2 team riders run strong in Sevlievo until terrible luck strikes. If it wasn’t for bad luck in Bulgaria the Molson Kawasaki team would have had little to no luck at all as after Stephen Sword and Gautier Paulin raced their factory KX250F-SRs to fourth and fifth place in the opening moto at round four of the FIM World Motocross Championship in Sevlievo a double no score second time out tried and tested the team’s spirit to the max. As early as in the first practice session on Saturday it was obvious that Sword and Paulin were in great form on the jump-filled, super-fast hillside circuit as they carved their factory bikes to great times in all sessions. Then in their qualifying heat the pair finished second and third to easily qualify and ensure they’d get a great pick at the start gate for Sunday’s points paying races.

Sword Extends Series Lead in British Championship
05 May 2008
Molson Kawasaki’s flying Scotsman Stephen Sword completely dominated round four of the Maxxis British motocross championship - held under sunny skies at Lyng - to further extend his MX2 series lead. Stephen Sword took another step towards re-winning the British MX2 title by completely dominating round four at Lyng on his factory KX250F-SR. Fastest in qualifying and easily fastest in both races, there was no stopping Sword in Norfolk as he was head and shoulders above the competition with only Shaun Simpson able to nudge ahead for three laps in moto two.

Molson Kawasaki in Fine Form at Torrington
16 April 2008
There’s rain, mud and ruts once more for the third round of the British motocross championship that takes place in Torrington, Devon. After torrential rain leading into the event the previously perfectly prepped circuit is something of a mud bath for the qualifying sessions and early races but that doesn’t stop Stephen Sword and his full factory KX250F-SR from taking a fine overall win which also helped increase the Scotsman’s lead in the series.

Swanepoel Ends British Campaign With Third Place
17 September 2007
Molson Kawasaki were able to end the 2007 Maxxis British Championship with two of their riders in the top five of the overall MX2 standings as Gareth Swanepoel confirmed third position and Tom Church fourth with their results at Pontrilas for the final round of the series. A hard and fast course on the Welsh border awaited the MX2 class in the last of eight domestic meetings this season. Under clear sunny skies American Mike Brown narrowly won the title by finishing in third position, while Swanepoel and Church were fifth and seventh respectively on the day.

Swanepoel Seventh At Donington
28 August 2007
Gareth Swanepoel was disappointed to see a possible podium result escape at a sunny Donington Park for the British Grand Prix and Molson Kawasaki’s home event in the MX2 World Championship calendar. The South African took 4th and 16th positions after a heavy second moto crash. The penultimate meeting of the season was watched by 28,000 people. The new motocross track at Donington Park was located in the infield section behind the final corner of the MotoGP course and alongside the Dunlop straight. The off-road layout was long and narrow and offered a track with more jumps than any other this season. The soil was hard but rough and rutted in some sections. The Grand Prix overall benefited from the excellent infrastructure and facilities that one of Britain’s premier Motorsport venues can offer.

Fantastic Sword Fourth At Loket
30 July 2007
Stephen Sword, in only his third Grand Prix in sixteen months, gave Molson Kawasaki a best result of fourth overall with moto results of tenth and fifth on the KX250F at a cloudy and temperate Loket circuit for the Grand Prix of Czech Republic and the eleventh round of fifteen in the MX2 FIM world championship. The track at Loket – draped across a steep hillside just outside the historic town and 10 kilometres from the wonderfully scenic Karlovy Vary – is natural in practically every sense with few man-made jumps and the aerial tests coming mainly from the undulations of the landscape. The stony mud however was not particularly deep and this meant many braking bumps and a slippery terrain, particularly with the showers through the weekend. The presence of one and sometimes two racing lines did not allow for free-flowing overtaking on a major scale either.

Swanepoel Takes Fourth Win of The Season
11 July 2007
Gareth Swanepoel is now second in the MX2 Maxxis British Championship and just one point off the lead after taking his fourth victory of the year and fifth career success at a sodden Whitby circuit in northern England yesterday. The South African, who was second fastest in qualification, rode to first and second positions, taking his fourth chequered flag of 2007 on the KX250F Molson Kawasaki. The Whitby course hosted the sixth round of eight in the premier national series. The venue was damp and challenging with rainfall making things extra difficult for the riders.

Church So Close to First ‘07 Overall Win
26 June 2007
Molson Kawasaki’s Tom Church came within one point of overall victory at the Desertmartin circuit for the fifth round of the Maxxis British Championship in Northern Ireland last Saturday as the team fielded a full-strength line-up for the first time this season. The 25 year old picked up 3rd and 2nd positions in the two motos at the circuit 30km from Belfast. The layout was not popular with the riders as the fine terrain yielded a stony and rocky surface and the course was extremely fast.
