Shakey’s Race Bikes Recovered

Rizla Suzuki has recovered both of Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne’s stolen GSX-R1000 race bikes. Working in conjunction with the North Yorkshire police, the team received information leading to the whereabouts of the bikes which were stolen on Tuesday night from a locked garage at the Croft circuit. The bikes were safely recovered on Wednesday and one was used by Shakey during the afternoon test session.

Rizla Suzuki Bikes Stolen From Croft – £10,000 Reward For Return

BOTH of Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne’s Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000K6 race bikes were stolen last night from a locked garage at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire. Rizla Suzuki is offering a £10,000 reward for their safe return. The bikes were garaged in preparation for the start of the official MCRCB two day test at the circuit, due to start this morning. The team left the circuit at around 20:00 and returned at 8:00 this morning to find the garage door open and the two bikes missing along with parts and accessories. Airwaves Ducati and Redbull Honda also had parts stolen last night. The police and circuit security have been called to the scene and an investigation is underway.

Theft Thwarted By Datatool Text-Alert

The attempted theft of a treasured Kawasaki Ninja was thwarted last week by a text message sent via Text-Alert from Datatool, the UK’s leading supplier of innovative electronic motorcycle products. Bike Theives Caught

Police have put the fear back into criminals to reduce motorcycle thefts in South Gloucestershire. An operation, which quite literally caught thieves in the act, has helped to dramatically reduce the number of mopeds being stolen in areas including Filton and Patchway. The initiative was launched three months ago to curb the rising number of thefts in South Gloucestershire which at its peak reached more than 60 reported thefts in one month.

Bike Theft Warning in West and South West London

Lock up your bikes in West London say MAG (Motorcycle Action Group). West and South West London has been targeted with bike theft spree following the theft of at least a dozen bikes in the last week or so. The culprits, four white males in their early 20's have been using a silver transit van, of which the number plate has been cloned. All the following details were sent to MAG and confirmed by the police.

Friday Night Bike Jacking & Violent Attacks

At around 10.30pm last night, LB member, David was followed home, violently attacked and had his 2005 R1 stolen from outside his house in Greenford, West London. This was just the start of the horrific events that unfolded during the night of Friday 7th October 2005.

Datatool Release New Snitcher Theft Text Alert

The Snitcher will send a text message to the owner’s mobile in the event of the vehicle being tampered with. What makes the Snitcher unique is that it uses a modem, rather than a cell ‘phone, to make the call. This has two major advantages over previous text alert systems; firstly, it is compact and easy to fit (just three wires to connect) and secondly it uses minimal current draw, at just 1mA, so it won’t put excessive strain on the battery.

Bike thieves raid police garage

Thieves have stolen two motorcycles from under the noses of officers at a West Yorkshire Police station. The Suzuki off-road police bikes were taken from a garage at Heckmondwike police station on Tuesday night.
