Best Qualifying Session for Guintoli
21 June 2008
Cold and rainy day at Donington Park circuit, in England. The morning free practice has shown a great performance by Sylvain Guintoli who under the rain has always demonstrated great qualities. The afternoon session, that has determined the starting grid of the 22nd English Grand Prix hosted on this circuit, rain wasn’t so heavy making the track faster. The French rider has made it to improve his best lap times constantly finishing the session in twelfth position, his best qualifying session of the season. His teammate, Toni Elias, didn’t make it to find the right feeling to push at the maximum in this weather condition and will have to start in eighteenth position.

First Day of Work for Alice Team at Donington
21 June 2008
After a weekend of break, MotoGP is back in action for the eight round of the 2008 World Championship at Donington Park circuit, in England. Alice Team riders haven’t begun in the best way, even if after the two days of test completed last week in Barcelona, they have shown improvements. The Spanish rider, Toni Elias, has also been unlucky today: in the afternoon session he had to stop in the garage for some minutes due to some technical problems. Back on track in the last minutes of the second free practice, he made it to improve his best morning lap time by almost a second, concluding the day in fifteenth position. His teammate, Sylvain Guintoli, didn’t make it to take a big step forward in the second hour of work, concluding the day in eighteenth position.

Guintoli Maintains His Promises
03 June 2008
Sylvain Guintoli, Alice Team rider, has declared yesterday: “Tomorrow I want and I can obtain the best result of the season so far”, and so he has done. Surely the French rider isn’t fully satisfied by the eleventh position obtained today, but he consider it a good starting point for the intense work of the next two months, with five races in seven weeks. His race has started with difficulties as he was touched by another rider and lost four positions in the second turn of the race, but after a few laps Sylvain found again the good rhythm registered in the warm up finishing just one position from the top ten. Another story for his team-mate, Toni Elias, who after the improvements seen in China doesn’t find back the right confidence to push at the maximum his Ducati Desmosedici GP8 SAT. Elias, who has finished in twelfth position, will try to improve in his home race, in Barcelona, in just 7 days. Thanks to the nine points conquered today, the Alice Team overtake the Kawasaki Racing Team in the MotoGP Team classification, positioning in eight place.

Elias & Guintoli Look for Precious Points In the 10th Alice GP
28 May 2008
The Alice Team is preparing for the Alice Grand Prix of Italy, where riders Toni Elias and Sylvain Guintoli will try their best to honour the tenth MotoGP race branded Alice, as it also is the title sponsor of the structure managed by Luis d’Antin. In fact, the brand Alice of Telecom Italia, present in Italy, France, Germany and Holland, has been the title sponsor of various MotoGP race since 2005. This will be for sure an extra motivation for the Alice Team riders to do well, as until this moment they haven’t obtained the hoped results awaited at the beginning of the season.

Elias Grazes The Top Ten
19 May 2008
During the firsts laps it seemed like a new race for Team Alice's Toni Elias who started from the fourteenth position on the grid and maintained the tenth position until the fifth lap. But, just a bit later, the Catalan rider didn’t manage to maintain his good rhythm and lost four positions. At mid race, just like in China two weeks ago, with less fuel and therefore with a lighter bike, he found a rhythm which allowed him to finish in eleventh position even if the rain slowed him down during the last part of the race. His teammate, Sylvain Guintoli, wanted to do well for his own supporters, but the Frenchman didn’t manage to find the right rhythm at the beginning of the race. He lost too much time from the group pace and consequently lost the possibility to fight for better positions.

Elias Wants To Win Again At Estoril
09 April 2008 | 2 Comments
Great anticipation for the third round of the MotoGP World Championship at the Estoril circuit in Portugal. Situated just a few kilometers from the portuguese capital, Lisbon, and not too far from the Atlantic coast, the circuit is characterized not only by a long straight and wide turns, but also from the varying weather conditions. In fact, also for this weekend of racing, the weather forecast seems to foresee rain until Friday morning, sunshine for the qualifying day and, again, some stormy clouds for Sunday. The circuit, today called Fernando Pires da Silva, was built in 1972 and has been part of the MotoGP World Championship since 2000.
