Mackenzie Rounds Off Season With Fifth At Lierop
04 September 2007
Kawasaki Racing Team finished an emotional and turbulent 2007 FIM MX1 World Championship year with Billy Mackenzie taking fifth position and Tanel Leok twelfth on the sandy terrain at Lierop for the Grand Prix of the Netherlands, the fifteenth and final round of the series. The team’s home event was a grey one with cloud cover and occasional light showers dampening the 36,000 attendance. The action through the MX1 motos was gripping however; especially with a close finale in the second outing between eventual overall winner Kevin Strijbos and Marc de Reuver. The soft and shifting sand at the venue close to the city of Eindhoven and less than 50km from the German border was a hard physical test for the riders as well as being a demanding technical surface.

28 August 2007
Tanel Leok steered the works KX450F-SR to sixth position overall today at a bright and busy Donington Park for the British Grand Prix and the last-but-one round of the FIM Motocross World Championship. Billy Mackenzie was unable to please his many supporters among the 28,000 crowd and finished twelfth. The new motocross track at Donington Park was located in the infield section behind the final corner of the MotoGP course and alongside the Dunlop straight. The off-road layout was long and narrow and offered a track with more jumps than any other this season. The soil was hard but rough and rutted in some sections.

Mac Sixth On KX450F-SR At Cold Ireland
20 August 2007
Kawasaki Racing Team’s Billy Mackenzie scored sixth position at a chilly and windy Moneyglass Demesne circuit for the Grand Prix of Northern Ireland and the thirteenth round of fifteen in the FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship. Tanel Leok unfortunately could not pick up any points as the season begins a rapid countdown. The new racetrack at Moneyglass Demesne had been principally created with a view towards the 2008 Motocross of Nations. The venue did not enjoy the kindest of inaugurations as heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday forced the organisers to cancel most of Saturday’s practice sessions.

Top Seven Double For KRT In Czech Republic
30 July 2007
With fourth and seventh positions respectively Tanel Leok and Billy Mackenzie steered their works KX450F-SRs through the rain and across the rough bumps at Loket for the Grand Prix of Czech Republic and the eleventh round of the FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship. The track at Loket – draped across a steep hillside just outside the historic town and 10 kilometres from the wonderfully scenic Karlovy Vary – is natural in practically every sense with few man-made jumps and the aerial tests coming mainly from the undulations of the landscape. The stony mud however was not particularly deep and this meant many braking bumps and a slippery terrain, particularly with the showers through the weekend. The presence of one and sometimes two racing lines did not allow for free-flowing overtaking on a major scale either.

19 June 2007
Tanel Leok’s eleventh position was all KRT could take away from the Grand Prix of Bulgaria at the sun-soaked Sevlievo circuit for the eighth meeting of fifteen in the 2007 FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship.
