Teka Suzuki One-Two In World MX1

The Team Teka Suzuki WMX1 win-streak continues in the 2008 FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship with reigning World Champion Steve Ramon taking overall victory in deep, difficult and some might say dangerous conditions at Bellpuig in Spain on his factory RM-Z450 while Ken De Dycker finished third to stay on top of the series standings.

Strijbos Consolidates 2nd In Mx1 Series

Kevin Strijbos finished fourth overall today and increased his gap over Steve Ramon in the MX1 World Championship standings in front of 18, 243 spectators at a windy, cloudy and showery Desertmartin circuit for the Grand Prix of Northern Ireland and the 13th round of 15 in the 2006 FIM Motocross series. Desertmartin was its usual formidable, rough, rutted and treacherous self. A sandy and changeable course blending both high-speed with numerous dips and jumps, requiring both bravery and a degree of caution when attacking the huge lumps in the dark red sifting soil.

Double Podium For Suzuki RM-Z450

The potency of the RM-Z450s in contrasting weather conditions was aptly demonstrated when Kevin Strijbos and Steve Ramon both finished on the podium today in front of 25,000 spectators at an overcast and very wet Sevlievo circuit for the sixth round of the 2006 FIM MX1 Motocross World Championship.

Strijbos Claims First Podium

Kevin Strijbos and the RM-Z450 Suzuki gained third position this afternoon at a sunny and warm Agueda circuit for the Grand Prix of Portugal and the third round of 15 in the 2006 FIM World Championship. It was the first top three for the Belgian since the 2005 Grand Prix of the Czech Republic on a day when team mate Steve Ramon suffered a heavy crash in the second moto and had to retire.

Team Suzuki In Zolder Top 5

Steve Ramon and Kevin Strijbos guided their works RM-Z450 machines to fourth and fifth positions overall respectively at a blustery Zolder circuit in Belgium today for the Karcher Grand Prix of Flanders, the opening round of the 2006 FIM MX1 World Championships.
