Suzuki Castrol’s number two team rider Julien da Costa has taken pole position on his GSX-R1000 for tomorrow’s final-round Bol d’Or World Endurance Championship round in France. Amid persistent rain throughout the day, World Champions Suzuki Castrol’s Vincent Philippe was fastest in the first group of riders on the track in the morning session with a time of 2:02.059. In the second group, da Costa went faster with a 2:00.841 to beat National Motos Honda's Olivier Four on 2:01.566.

Suzuki Castrol Extend Lead

World Endurance Champions Suzuki Castrol won the Zolder 6 Hour fourth round of the FIM World Endurance Championship in Belgium this afternoon and extended its lead in the series to 44 points. GSX-R1000-mounted Vincent Philippe, Keiichi Kitagawa – who crashed heavily in qualifying - and Matthieu Lagrive took their third win of the seven-round series, completing 223 laps, three more than Yamaha Austria who currently hold second place in the Championship.

Suzuki Castrol On Pole In Zolder

World Endurance Champions Suzuki Castrol has put the GSX-R1000 Suzuki on pole for tomorrow’s World Endurance fourth round at Zolder in Belgium. The series leaders dominated free practice and qualifying for the six-hour race despite a high-speed crash by team member Keiichi Kitagawa this morning. Kitagawa was unhurt in the incident but had to switch to the number two machine for the remainder of the session.

Suzuki Wins Albacete World Endurance

Suzuki Castrol has won the Albacete 8 Horas Nocturnas round of the FIM World Endurance Championship and increased its series lead to 39 points after three rounds. GSX-R1000-mounted Keiichi Kitagawa, Matthieu Lagrive and Vincent Philippe ran a consistent race which was incident packed from the start.

Suzuki Race To 2nd From 49th

Reigning World Endurance Champions Suzuki Castrol clawed back from a heavy crash in the first hour to finish runners-up at the Le Mans 24-hour second round in France that finished this afternoon. The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) of Keiichi Kitagawa, Mathieu Lagrive and Vincent Philippe were only two laps behind winners, National Motors Honda, after 817 laps of racing.

After dominating practice and first qualifying, World Endurance Champions and current series leaders Suzuki Castrol posted the second fastest time for tomorrow’s 24-hour Le Mans World Endurance second round in France. SERT rider Vincent Philippe set the early pace aboard the French squad’s GSX-R1000 with the Suzuki Castrol number two team a close second until yesterday’s night practice when they recorded provisional pole position.

Reigning World Endurance Champions Suzuki Castrol won the Assen 500km opening round of the FIM World Endurance Championship in Holland today after leading from the start. Although one rider down after Mathieu Lagrive crashed and injured himself yesterday, the SERT GSX-R1000 had pulled a lap ahead by the half-way point of the four-hour event and team rider Vincent Philippe also set the fastest lap of the race with a time of 1:43.659.

Suzuki Castrol On Assen Endurance Pole

Team Suzuki Castrol’s Vincent Philippe set the fastest time in today’s qualifying for the opening World Endurance Championship round at Assen, Holland on Monday. The French SERT rider lapped his GSX-R1000 around the redesigned circuit in a time of 1:42.718, which was more than half a second quicker than Honda Alpha-Technik’s Michael Schulten. Third place went Yamaha Austria's Igor Jerman (1:44.408), fourth to Kawasaki Bolliger Team's Patric Muff (1:45.297) and fifth to Yamaha Phase One Endurance's Warwick Nowland (1:45.444).

Suzuki Castrol Lead Assen Opener

Six-time World Endurance Champions Suzuki Castrol will start its title defence at the opening round of the 2006 series at Assen, Holland on Bank Holiday Monday. The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, Keiichi Kitagawa, Mathieu Lagrive and Vincent Phillipe, spearhead a full field of 42 teams aboard their GSX-R1000 Suzuki for the first of seven championship rounds that will include one faraway race in Suzuka, Japan.
