Koyama Affected By Strong Winds At Australian Grand Prix

Red Bull KTM's 125 cc rider Tomoyoshi Koyama charged off to the most impressive start in the 125cc Australian Grand Prix on Sunday but he had difficulties with a strong winds howling across the Phillip Island circuit and had to settle for sixth place.

Difficult Day For KTM 125cc Riders In Japan

While their 250cc Red Bull KTM team-mates celebrated a victory on the Motegi Racing Circuit, KTM's three-rider line-up in the 125 cc class experienced a difficult day and left the Japanese Grand Prix disappointed. Tomoyoshi Koyama, who had been very fast in training and had wanted to do well on his home circuit, experienced tyre grip problems and was only able to finish 14th. Conditions were made more difficult because of changing weather conditions, leaving the track wet at some stages and drying out in other.

Koyama Puts Red Bull KTM On The 125cc Podium In San Marino

Tomoyoshi Koyama applied his never-give-up energy and passion to the 125cc race at the San Marino Grand Prix and his determination and skill put the Red Bull KTM team on the podium in third place. The diminutive Japanese rider picked up 16 championship points for his effort and is now lying third in the season's standings.

High Hopes at Meandering Sachsenring

Red Bull KTM riders Tomoyoshi Koyama and Randy Krummenacher have been testing a new chassis on their 125 FRR - and are now even more confident for the German Grand Prix on the meandering and challenging Sachsenring circuit this weekend. With one victory, one second and one third place for Tomoyoshi Koyama, and with Randy Krummenacher climbing the podium for the first time ever in Barcelona, Team Red Bull KTM 125 are now a force to be reckoned with in this year's world championship. There is much more to come once the 24-year-old Japanese ace and the 17-year-old Swiss GP rookie have all the experience necessary finding the perfect set-up for their nimble 55-horsepower machines.

Koyama on The Podium Again at Donington Park

Barcelona winner Tomoyoshi Koyama celebrated another fantastic podium finish in Sunday's British Grand Prix securing second place behind Mattia Pasini after a hard-fought battle in the 125 cc class. Koyama pushed hard in the opening laps of the race, but had to settle for his own pace in the second half of the race, when his soft front tyre wore out early on the drying tarmac.

Red Bull KTM's Steve Bonsey Finishes 13th

American teenager Steve Bonsey was the Red Bull KTM 125cc rider of the day when he finished 13th in the championship points in Jerez Spain. It was the first time the young American, making his debut season on the MotoGP circuit , had picked up championship points. Bonsey’s young 17 year-old team-mate Randy Krummenacher of Switzerland was no less heroic riding with a painful cracked scaphoid bone in his right wrist and still finishing in 17th place. Tomoyoshi Koyama was close to a podium finish when he crashed with four laps to go in the 125cc while hot on the trail of a podium place.

Koyoma Performs Strongly in Assen 125cc Challenging

Red Bull KTM 125 ace Tomoyoshi Koyama battled all the way in a tight pack of riders at the Dutch GP in Assen on Saturday, finishing just fractions of a second out of the podium rankings. The pint-sized Japanese said he was quite satisfied with the race results after the team had struggled with the bike setup during qualifying on the previous days.
