KTM MX1 Double with Barragan and Nagl

KTM rider Jonathan Barragan of Team Silver Action and Red Bull KTM factory rider Max Nagl rounded off a near perfect day for KTM at Nelstpruit South Africa snatching the top two overall places in the MX1 GP. The two riders onboard the KTM machines duplicated the MX2 GP results making the trip to the Southern Hemisphere well worthwhile for the Austrian manufacturer.

Red Bull KTM's great 1-2 in South African MX2 GP

In what is now effectively a two-man KTM race for the MX2 world championship title, Tommy Searle came out on top in the GP at Nelspruit, South Africa while local hero Tyla Rattray placed second. The two KTM riders performed well and Tyla was treated to a great show fo support from local South African fans.

Nagl and Barragan in top three in MX1 Time Practice South Africa

Both KTM factory riders Max Nagl and Jonathan Barragan were on top of their game in Nelspruit, South African on Saturday coming in second and third behind Steve Ramon of Belgium in Time Practice ahead of Sunday's MX1 Grand Prix of South Africa.

Searle & Rattray in Form for MX2 GP of South Africa

Red Bull KTM duo Tommy Searle and Tyla Rattray took the first two places in Qualifying Race One in Nelspruit on Saturday ahead of the MX2 GP of South Africa. The team's third KTM factory rider Rui Goncalves was fifth in the second race won by arch rival Antonio Cairoli. Riders battled in extremely hot conditions on the track in the north east of South Africa where Rattray on Sunday will go into his home GP with the red number plate as championship leader. The fight for the title in MX2 has developed into a war of attrition between Searle, Rattray and Cairoli and one that the two KTM riders intend to win.

Teka Suzuki On New Ground In South Africa

A new venue for World Championship Motocross - Nelspruit - awaits Team Teka Suzuki WMX1 riders Steve Ramon and Ken De Dycker at this weekend's Grand Prix of South Africa - round 10 of the 15 round series. After putting in a good ride at the Swedish GP two weeks ago, reigning MX1 World Champion Ramon closed to within 12 points of the series leader David Philippaerts and enters the South African race hungry to close the gap even further.

Bookings are at an all time high for 2008 with schools sold out for April and early May. There are some Level 1 spaces available on the 27th/28th May, although if you are looking for Level 2, 3 & 4, the earliest date possible is 10th June.
