World Stage Beckons for Ellsion
After sitting out the last round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park last weekend, due to a wrist injury sustained in training the week previously, Hydrex Bike Animal Honda rider James Ellison will be back in action to take his place as a wild card entry at this weekend's Hannspree World Superbike Championship meeting at Donington Park. Up until Cadwell, the 27 year old from Kendal, who has been one of the revelations of the season on his return to BSB after four years, had scored points in every round aboard the Shaun Muir Racing 1000cc Honda Fireblade, and despite attempting to ride at Cadwell, he had to admit defeat when a ligament injury prevented his participation on the grounds of safety.

Impressive Martin Scores Well at Cadwell
26 August 2008
Hydrex Bike Animal Honda rider Guy Martin bounced back to something like form with a pair of solid points scoring rides in front of another massive bank holiday crowd in round nine of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park. With team mate James Ellison sidelined due to a training injury caused the previous week when motocrossing in Spain, it was left to the 27 year old from Kirmington to uphold the team's honour at his local circuit. Despite the handicap of a row six start, Martin battled to fifteenth place in the opening race whereby he followed it up with a fine eleventh in the second race to make it his first double points scoring finish since the rescheduled Brands Hatch round in May, and in doing so now lies in 18th in the Championship, with Ellison in seventh.

03 June 2008

The 26 year old from Kirmington in Lincolnshire, running as number one on the road once again, started steadily as mist on the mountain and damp patches made the opening lap quite tricky and at the end of the 37.75 mile lap, Martin was placed in sixth place, just five seconds off the lead. As he got more acquainted with the production-specification 1000cc Honda Fireblade, Martin upped the pace and by half way round lap two, he was up to fourth place at Ramsey, less than twelve seconds off the lead as they headed for the pit stops.
