The New Scottoiler Slipperblock
21 March 2008
Scottoiler launched their latest product at Expo in January 2008. Scottoiler are world renowned for their chain lubrication systems which can increase chain life by up to seven times and in recent years have become equally well respected for their other products such as the MCN award winning FS 365 Corrosion Protector. The Scottoiler Slipperblock is a new method of dispensing oil into the chain to lubricate and clean it more effectively. The Slipperblock delivers oil to the edges of the inner side plates of the chain as they pass through it. From the inner side plates the oil is centrifuged and spread by capillary action across the whole chain for superior lubrication. The Slipperblock also provides a valuable cleaning action ensuring chain wear is kept to a minimum.

MCIA National Motorcycle Week
19 June 2007
From the 15th - 21st July 2007 the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) is holding the annual National Motorcycle Week in order to promote the benefits of motorcycling. The 18th July will also be 'Ride to Work Day' which aims to highlight to the general public that motorcycling helps to cut pollution, congestion and journey times as well as being a cost effective and convenient mode of transportation. The theme of this year's event is "Now is the Time" which aims to encourage new riders to sit their motorcycle test before the 2nd European Driving Licence Directive is introduced in September 2008. The main purpose of this new legislation is to reduce the rate of motorcycle accidents by introducing an off-road element to the motorcycle test. However this is likely to make the test more difficult than it is at present and also more expensive, therefore riders are encouraged to sit their test before this comes into effect.
