Ivan Linton Scores Triple Podium At Scarborough
29 July 2008
Bardney road race specialist Ivan Lintin scored a double podium in the two 250cc class races at Scarborough at the Cock o’the North meeting around the famous Oliver’s Mount course. Lintin notched up a second and third place finish on the McKinstry Racing 250cc Yamaha before switching to the Sunfish UK 600cc machine, which he took to a third and fourth place in the 600cc class. He was hoping to have his own 750cc bike prepared for the open class event but when he realised it would not be ready in time he opted to go out on the 600 bike and although very much underpowered to the rest of the field he scored an eighth and 10th place in that class.

Cock o’ the North Road Races
16 July 2008
It’s 111 wins and counting for Ian Lougher following the conclusion of the annual Cock o’ the North Road Races at Scarborough. Lougher was at his superb best round the historic Oliver’s Mount circuit and his dominance was such, that he was one victory short of achieving a 100% record in every race he contested. The honour of the most wins at Oliver’s Mount goes to the experienced Welshman and following the first day’s action on Saturday it was easy to see why, as he blasted his way to five wins from five starts. Ian was successful in both Superbike races on the team’s Yamaha R1 Superbike, he then followed this up with victory in the 600cc race on the impressive Team Blackhorse Yamaha Supersport R6 and then showed his renowned versatility by taking victory in the 125cc and 250cc events on the Barnes Racing machines to take his tally to 108 wins.

Confidence Boosting Time For Costello At Cock O The North Road Races
02 July 2007
Northamptonshire motorcycle racer Maria Costello overcame difficult conditions to compete at the Cock o the North Road Races for the first time. Despite a mechanical problem forcing her to retire while in 7th place, her best position of the weekend, the diminutive blonde was content with the confidence boost the weekend had given her. After a disappointing qualifying session, Maria lined up on row five of the grid onboard her Bering and Black Horse sponsored RVF400 for its maiden race. A good start for Costello saw her make up places on the first tight and chaotic hairpin but she couldn’t make up a further 2 places to get a finish in the top ten.
