Difficult Qualifying For San Carlo Honda Gresini
25 October 2008
Team San Carlo Honda Gresini contested the final qualifying practice session of the season today at the Grand Prix of Valencia. Shinya Nakano and Alex De Angelis qualified in fifteenth and sixteenth position respectively, positions that are well below their expectations after another positive weekend in free practice, with the Japanese rider lapping second fastest this morning. Nakano’s qualifying attempt was spoiled by a crash on his second soft tyre, and although he escaped unhurt and was able to return to the track on his second bike, Shinya was unable to make major improvements on his lap time.

Weather Affects San Carlo Honda Gresini at Valencia
24 October 2008
Team San Carlo Honda Gresini are back in Europe this weekend for the final round of the MotoGP World Championship at Valencia. After the heat and humidity of Malaysia one week ago, Shinya Nakano and Alex De Angelis could not have encountered more different conditions today, as rain and low temperatures made for tricky track conditions in free practice. Nakano tried a variety of different tyres as he tried to establish a feeling with his bike in these conditions, gathering plenty of useful information for his technicians to work on. De Angelis also worked to gather set-up data that he will work on, together with his technicians, with the aim of improving his pace tomorrow.

San Carlo Honda Gresini Head to Spain for 08 Finale
23 October 2008
Team San Carlo Honda Gresini head for the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia this week for the final round of the MotoGP World Championship. Just one week after racing in Malaysia, Alex De Angelis and Shinya Nakano return to Europe to tackle one of the smallest and tightest tracks on the calendar. Both the San Marino and Japanese riders have won at the Spanish track in the 250cc class, in 2006 and 2000 respectively. The race is important not just to sign off from the season in positive fashion but also because on the day following the race Gresini Racing’s preparations for 2009 will already begin, with the first test of the off-season set to take place on the 27th and 28th October.

Wet Setback for Team San Carlo Honda Gresini
04 October 2008
Team San Carlo Honda Gresini began their preparations for Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island today, although a wet afternoon proved to be a familiar and unwelcome hindrance. Following a dry opening session in which both riders established a good feeling with their machines, set-up work was severely set back in the afternoon after a heavy and consistent downpour. Despite crashing in the slippery conditions, Alex De Angelis remains confident that his positive work in the dry can prove decisive as he looks to recover his feeling with the bike after a difficult Grand Prix of Japan last weekend.

The Japanese rider rediscovered his feeling with the bike at his home race and is now targeting a top result.
