Sébastien Pourcel Gives Kawasaki its First GP Win of the Season
29 April 2008
After two difficult rounds for the Grand Prix Kawasaki Racing team Sébastien Pourcel claimed the fourth GP win of his career in Agueda, Portugal. After two very wet events there was at last a dry GP in Agueda, a regular venue for the FIM Motocross World Championship. Travelling straight from Spain to Portugal the team members as well as the riders enjoyed the sunny weather even if it was pretty difficult to get used to the high temperatures. As usual in Portugal the organisers did a perfect job preparing the layout.

Livia, Christophe & Sébastien In Final Top Four Rankings
04 September 2007
The world championship ended this weekend in the deep sand of Lierop, where Livia Lancelot collected the best overall result of the season for Team GPKR with a second place in the Women’s World Cup. With Livia second, the absent Christophe third in the MX2 class and Sébastien fourth in the MX1 Championship, the team collected strong results from its second year of activity. Home of Grand Prix racing for several years Lierop is one of the toughest tracks of the series and was more demanding than ever as the riders had already raced five GPs in the last six weeks. For the ladies, who made their first outing on a sandy track, it was even worse but their races were finally as exciting as the MX1 and MX2 heats.

Seventh Place For Sébastien In England
28 August 2007
After a strong series of podiums, Sébastien Pourcel took seventh place in Donington Park, home of the fourteenth and penultimate round of the World Championship. He is now fourth in the MX1 standings, and will compete for a spot in the final top three next week in Lierop. The weekend started badly for Team GPKR at this new venue as Thierry Godfroid broke his right leg during the first race of the Veteran’s World Cup on Saturday afternoon. A few days after the injury of Christophe Pourcel, it was another bad news for the squad who saw their tyres technician and test rider return home for surgery.

Pourcel Runner-Up At His home Grand Prix
11 June 2007
The World Championship was back in Europe this weekend two weeks after the trip to Japan. On their home track of Saint Jean d’Angely the French riders left without celebrating any victory. Christophe Pourcel finished runner-up in the MX2 class, while Sébastien Pourcel took seventh place in MX1. Christophe owned a holeshot and won his qualifying race on Saturday and entered the starting grid first for the races. He chose a place in the middle of the gate for the opening moto but missed a decent start as he was around the tenth into the first corner. Sixth after the first lap, he needed seven circulations to come back to second behind Cairoli, who proved again to be a strong leader.

First GP Win This Season For Christophe Pourcel In Japan
27 May 2007
It seems that the Japanese round of the Motocross World Championship suits Christophe Pourcel and his Team GPKR. One year ago in Sugo he obtained the red plate as leader of the series and this weekend - on the bumpy Japanese track - he collected his first Grand Prix win of the season. Home of the Japanese round for three years now, Sugo is without any doubt one of the roughest track of the series. Designed in a natural valley, the circuit has a soft ground with sand and wood chippings mixed into the earth. After heavy rain on Friday the riders had to deal with deep ruts and bumps through practice and into the races on this challenging but demanding layout.

Kawasaki's Pourcel Misses First Victory
24 April 2007
Christophe Pourcel missed a first win of the season in Agueda after he crashed while leading the second heat of the Portuguese Grand Prix. Despite some heavy rain on Friday evening and fog this morning - that forced the organizers to postpone the warm up - the weather has been perfect in Agueda for the third round of fifteen in the series. The track was demanding and the conditions were difficult for the riders, with warm temperatures and high humidity but the racing was once more again in both classes.

Kawasaki's Sébastien Pourcel Leads The Series
19 March 2007
The French MX1 Elite Championship started this week-end in La Chapelle St Aubin (Sarthe), on Pichon’s track. On terrible conditions after heavy rains on Sunday morning, Sébastien Pourcel won the event and is leading the series. It has been a wet opening round, and all the riders crashed at least once or twice on this track built just for this event by Mickael Pichon and his father Alain. Including many jumps and technical sections the track was a nightmare, especially for the first race as the rain stopped later in the afternoon.
