Strong Debut Outing For Shakey At Croft
13 August 2006
Rizla Suzuki’s Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne narrowly missed the rostrum on his first Superbike visit to Croft in North Yorkshire for the 10th round of the Bennetts British Championship. In a treacherously wet second race, Shakey recovered from an uncharacteristic poor start and an early run off the track to chase down the leaders. In the opening race, plagued by drizzling rain on a dry track, he took fifth place.

Fourth & Fifth For Rizla's Shakey
24 July 2006
Rizla Suzuki’s Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne took hard-earned fourth and fifth place finishes in today’s double-header ninth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at a sun-drenched Oulton Park in Cheshire. Byrne found it difficult to make the most of his fifth place grid position from the start in both races before fighting his way through to dice for the podium places. His early efforts to pass slower riders left him with just too much of a deficit to make up and while matching the leaders’ lap times he couldn’t catch them.

izla Suzuki To Test In Spain
29 March 2006
Rizla Suzuki will travel to the Guadix circuit in southern Spain for a two-day test session before prior to the second round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Donington Park on April 9th. After a pre-season test programme blighted by wet and cold weather, the move to Guadix, near Malaga on the south coast of Spain, is to try and ensure dry miles of testing for Rizla Suzuki. The 3km long circuit provides a mixture of fast, slow and multiple corners as well as a 750m straight which makes it ideal for Rizla Suzuki’s Shane Byrne and James Haydon to test their GSX-R1000s to the limit.
