A wrong option of tyre choice for the opening race left the Rob Mac Racing Yamaha rider struggling with confidence in the front end of his Yamaha, around the fast Norfolk circuit. Having qualified his Rob Mac Racing Yamaha in 6th spot, Karl was relying on a strong opening to the race to take his challenge to the leaders. With the majority of the leading pack on Pirelli Diablo Superbike two tyres, Karl had opted for the harder three compound that he’d preferred during the free practice sessions.

15 June 2008
Rob Mac Racing's Karl Harris will line up on the second row of the grid in sixth position for the two 21-lap British Superbike races at Snetterton, Norfolk (15th June). The dry, yet overcast conditions gave way to a persistent rain shower midway through the fifty-minute Swan Combi - Roll for Pole qualifying session. Karl's fastest lap time, up to that point, of 1:05.905s would see the 28-year old qualify as the highest placed Yamaha as he looks to continue his charge up the Championship leader board.

12 June 2008
Rob Mac Racing's Karl Harris finally got his season underway three weeks ago at Donington Park, and will look to make strong inroads to the championship leaders at the fifth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Snetterton this weekend (13th-15th June). Blisteringly fast all weekend, Karl ran as high as second position, with only one other rider possessing the consistent pace to be able to run as quick as the Yamaha rider. However, lack of race action this season hindered Karl's progress as he battled for points around the most physically demanding circuit on the race calendar. Uncharacteristic arm pump', synonymous with the Leicestershire circuit, prevented Karl from realising his full potential with a deserved podium settling for two-seventh place finishes and his first points of the season.
