AMA Racing has issued its proposed 2009 road racing rules package and made it available on-line. Additionally, as part of its new rulesmaking procedure implemented in 2006, AMA Racing road racing credential holders can comment on the proposed rules. The comment period will run through August 31, 2007. American Motorcyclist Association President/CEO, Rob Dingman commented on the new rules as well as the rulesmaking process. “This package is the result of the collaborative efforts of key AMA Racing staff members and the Road Racing Rules Committee,” said Dingman. “These rules reflect the goals set forth by the AMA’s Racing Committee and were created specifically to support the new AMA Superbike class structure announced in March.”
