Team Makita Suzuki Racing’s Ivan Tedesco brought home another top-10 finish in the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Tedesco’s performance moves him up to ninth place overall in the championship points standings as team mate Ricky Carmichael did not race due to his abbreviated schedule; the 2006 AMA Supercross and Motocross Champion will return to Supercross at the Atlanta round later this month.
The KTM squad made their way into the Lone Star State this weekend for round 6 of the AMA West Coast Supercross Lites series. After inspiring performances at Anaheim 3 and with both Martin Davalos and Josh Hansen 100% healthy, Houston looked like the place were KTM could get it’s first podium of the 2007 season.
The 2007 Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series is shaping up to be a breakthrough campaign for Monster Energy Kawasaki’s James Stewart. Early this season Stewart is leapfrogging from one major accomplishment to the next in the series. Last week the top-ranked Stewart became the first rider in history to sweep the trio of Anaheim Supercross races. Fresh off of that achievement Stewart comes to this Saturday’s (Feb. 10) Houston Supercross in Reliant Stadium with the opportunity to move into the top-10 on the all-time AMA Supercross wins list.
